Programme Overview

Attention all recent or soon to be graduates in the following disciplines:
· Mechanical Engineering
· Food Science
· Quality Management
Are you a future leader of the Scotch Whisky Industry?

Our Operations Graduate Programme will, over three exciting years, give you training and assigned projects across a variety of Operations Functions such as Distillation, Maturation, Supply Chain, Engineering, Bottling and Distribution. You will develop important management skills and gain valuable experience that will set you on course to be part of the future Leadership Team of Chivas Brothers.

Initially you will learn how our business operates through hands-on experience before moving on to a wider variety of projects and work experience such as:
· Improving operational efficiencies of key assets such as a high speed bottling lines or at a Malt Distillery
· Identifying opportunities to improve business processes
· Energy and Sustainability Projects
· Project Management
· Team Leadership experience
· New Product Line Trials
All of this will be underpinned with a comprehensive training and development programme.

Person Requirements

We're looking for graduates who are confident and self-assured in their abilities. A positive, entrepreneurial and enthusiastic attitude is essential. We need graduates who will be equally effective working as part of a team and working independently – so expect to take the initiative and make things happen under your own direction. On top of that you will have a passion to learn and be focused on a career in Operations Management.

Our graduate programme will be based across Central Scotland but there may be opportunity at our other sites in Speyside.

Essential Qualifications and Experience :

We have already filled a number of places in our 2017 graduate programme and we are looking to complete our intake with graduates in the following disciplines:
· Mechanical Engineering
· Food Science
· Quality Management
Desirable Qualifications and Experience :

Post Graduate qualifications relevant to the Manufacturing Industry.
Post Graduate qualification in Brewing and Distilling.
Industrial Placement experience within a Manufacturing environment.

Location:

Primarily based at Paisley / Dumbarton / Glasgow

Salary:

£26,000 pa

Start Date:

Must be able to start on 31 July 2017.
