Job description
Key responsibilities
- Martell Brand Ambassador will represent the brand in all touch points (internal Pernod Ricard teams, consumers, clients, press...) and support the launch of the brand in South Africa.
- Field based, conducting the Martell mentoring program, building relationships with key stakeholders, supporting implementation of promotional activity & events where relevant, supporting implementation of local MMPJ brand strategy where relevant.
- Office based, supporting local brand team and sales force in key activations for the brand.
Core Roles & Responsibilities
- Represent Martell as brand ambassador.
- Drive mentorship in the local market and build relationships with key local influencers (media, consumers, celebrities etc.).
Key Tasks
Brand Education
- Educate and motivate PR SA sales force ensuring comprehensive understanding of the category, brand’s specificities & key differentiating qualities
- In cooperation with sales force, mentor staff in key trade customers
- Conduct tastings / education for groups of target consumers, opinion leaders and press
Maison Martell Hosting
- Support the hosting of Maison Martell and ensure best in class experience
- Host trainings and tastings for key influencers
Business and Brand Development
- Build database and nurture business to consumer and business to business contacts building loyalty, advocacy and sales
- Support implementation of consumer and trade promotions in line with global guidelines and local marketing teams
- Develop relationships, liaise and influence key media, industry, distributor, trade and other organizations that can play an instrumental role in building brand reputation and advocacy of our brands
- Explore opportunities to drive mentorship amongst the high net worth individuals and their social set
Expansion of the Business in SSA
- Support development of the brand in SSA (Kenya, Mozambique, DRC,…) by developing simple activation assets
- Organize events and tastings in SSA countries to drive sales and awareness for the brand
- Mentor key customers and influencers
- Increase share of mind for Martell amongst PR SSA affiliates & key brand stakeholders to make Martell a priority brand
Reporting to Affiliate and Brand Owner
- Report Martell and competitors monthly activities with recommendation
- Be the eye and the ear of the market by analyzing trade/consumer insights
- Follow Price analysis and sales performance within a defined competitive set

- Graduated of a 5 years Business School / Master
