Position Overview

 

This position is Location Free.

 

We are seeking a Tech Lead to help our Mexico-based Supply Chain Software Engineering team succeed and grow. As a Tech Lead Engineer, you'll lead a team of up to four engineers through the end-to-end feature development process, spanning such areas as data modeling, testing, scalability, operability, and ongoing metrics. Your team will work in Elixir and Typescript and have ownership of significant segments of our Supply Chain Platform. Your role demands strong technical and people leadership, collaborating cross-functionally with business stakeholders, product managers, designers, and other technology leaders.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

 

· 
·  Lead a product engineering team developing features end-to-end, ensuring high-quality software.
·  Attract top talent to the team, representing PepsiCo GBS at events, and advocating our values and best practices during candidate interviews.
·  Collaborate in architecture discussions, influencing decisions to improve and expand our core technology platforms.
·  Define best practices for product development, engineering, and coding as part of a world-class engineering team.
·  Deliver quality software through careful analysis of system capabilities and feature requests, peer reviews, test automation, and collaboration with QA engineers

 

 

 

Qualifications

Key Qualifications:

 

· 
·  5+ years experience developing software applications
·  2+ years experience leading an engineering team
·  Deep understanding of database design
·  Fluent with Agile processes and tools such as Jira or Pivotal Tracker
·  Experience working with git and using Continuous Integration tools to automate builds and deploys.
·  Azure, AWS or similar cloud platform experience.

 

Desirable Qualifications:

 

· 
·  Degree in any science and engineering field, or equivalent work experience.
·  Experience developing backend applications using Elixir or another functional programming language.
·  Experience with Elixir frameworks such as Phoenix and Ecto.
