Job description

We are currently on the look out for a web developer to join our highly successful and rapidly growing IT & Web Development Company in Thame, Oxfordshire. We have lots of exciting projects covering a multitude of industries including travel, technology, financial and marketing. We are also developing a number of our own web apps at various stages from drawing board to public beta.

This is a great opportunity to experience a wide range of applications and expand your skill set. Previous interns are now in managerial roles.

Essential skills:

Some web development background (including university course work, personal projects etc)
Good people skills (You'll be talking to everyone from the shop floor team to the directors of companies)
An inquisitive mind with a desire to learn (We want you to keep developing your own skill set and find ways to solve your own problems)

Desirable skills:

PHP5, CSS, HTML, MySQL, Git, JQuery & Bootstrap
PHP web development experience
Experience with LAMP Stack, requirement gathering and database design
Good written and verbal communication skills
Confidence and professionalism when dealing with clients
Time management skills
Attention to detail
Willingness to learn new things
Flexibility

Our work:

Currently we build all of our apps in Laravel and Codeigniter and our websites in Wordpress.

We work for a large number of companies both in the UK and abroad. Our work load is varied and will keep you on your toes!

Salary: £18-24k (pro rata) depending on experience

Pentangle pride themselves on their realistic and flexible attitude when it comes to working around other commitments. You will be required to work from our offices in the centre of Thame at least 2 days per week, but we can be flexible on hours to fit in around childcare or other commitments for the right candidate.
