You will oversee all aspects of building and site development including the design, build and expansion of the production facility.

The role will work directly within the Building and Projects department to ensure that all areas of the building are functional, meet required standards, and that projects are completed on schedule and within budget.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Oversee and design the development of a fast growing industrial site.
Realise and pilot new projects, construction of automatized lines.
Be responsible for concept development, performing trade studies, CAD model generation of designs & feasibility analysis.
Create specifications for the tenders.
Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure deadlines respected.
Interact frequently with internal & international organisational personnel.
Adhere to established styles and procedures and liaise with the parent company in France on a regular basis.
Define and document processes as required.
Identify potential issues, analyse and recommend improvements and alternative solutions.
Meet production and quality standards for UK food industry.
Ability to travel to meet subcontractors.

The above duties and responsibilities give a broad outline of the functions of the post. However, by necessity, these duties should be approached in a flexible manner to accommodate the changing needs and demands.

Skills Required

Possess an understanding and knowledge of engineering techniques, and local standards regarding the UK food industry.
Autodesk INVENTOR, AUTOCAD skills (parts design, machines design and assembly, etc.) are required
Demonstrate strong inter-departmental communication and cooperation skills.
Must have strong technical, supervisory, communication and extensive problem solving skills.
Able to work autonomously and without constant supervision
Associates degree in CAD or equivalent experience and training

Qualification/ requirement

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in an engineering related subject
Experience of working within a FMCG environment.
