REQUIREMENTS
• Cisco support experience (LAN / WAN, routers, switches, etc.)
• Proven hands-on experience in designing, implementing and supporting data centre networks.
• Proficient in working with Cisco technology across a wide remit including routing, switching, security, wireless and VoIP at a carrier grade level.
THE ROLE
An exciting career opportunity has arisen for a Network Engineer to be part of a skilled team responsible for managing, monitoring and maintaining both new and existing core network infrastructure. You will play a key role in ensuring interaction with project management teams and external clients to deliver solutions that meets their exact requirements. Your responsibilities will include:
• Cisco Networking (routers and switches), across all sites.
• HP Networking (routers and switches), across all sites.
• Firewall, both Cisco ASA and Fortigate, across all sites.
• Administration of NAT/VPN.
• MS Windows 2008 core infrastructure including Active Directory 2003 management and GPO creation.
• Supporting the Service Desk and Operations teams as required and covering shifts and out of hours support.
The role would be suitable for a junior Network Engineer looking to progress within your career as the role provides support and training throughout your development.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The role is predominantly office based; however, you may be required to travel to other data centres (Glasgow, Nottingham & Brighton).
This is a permanent position.
