Customer understanding through big data and analytics is at the heart of everything that MoneySuperMarket looks to achieve and the right candidate will be able to exemplify key competencies in order to achieve this shared goal.

Although specific skills are required, these can be gained solely from completed modules within your degree as no previous work experience is necessary. This is an immersive role, with full bespoke training and limitless opportunities for progression on completion of the programme.
Role Overview:
- Ensure the delivery of secure and efficient data products to project timescales.
- To work within a development team on various pipelines and projects of work. Building skills and experience across the estate including ETL, database engineering and visual reporting.
- Ensure that decisions are well thought out and future proof – in the primary areas of technology, functional solutions and architecture.
- Take ownership of incidents and problems and work them through to a successful conclusion.
- Expected to provide accurate estimates for stories within the work stream.
- Peer review the designs and code of fellow team members as well as seek peer approval for their own work.
- Development teams operate in an agile environment utilising elements of SCRUM, XP and Lean software development methodologies
Requirements:
Essential
- A 2.1 degree (Computer Science / Software Development / Mathematics / Statistics would be advantageous.)
- You will have a strong desire to succeed, and will excel within a target driven and fast paced environment.
- You will be change focused, creative and open to new ideas and have an analytical approach.
- You must have excellent communication skills and strong team working abilities.
Desirable
- SQL data coding experience preferably with exposure to analysing large data sets
- Be objective in accepting work and communicating deadlines
- Be focused on the delivery of value, as part of the team, that meets (or exceeds) the customer’s expectations.
- Exposure to programming languages such as Java and R would be highly beneficial.
