Department Overview
Our Dial-a-Bet division has been in operation since 1996 employing over 200 people in our offices which are located on Broomhill Road in Tallaght, Dublin 24. In 2015 Dial-a-Bet placed over 4 million bets through our telephone and text betting channels. Dial-a-bet’s success is based on simple principles – people like the convenience and speed of telephone or text betting, and they know that we offer value and fairness. Our operators are well trained and highly motivated.
Role Overview and Purpose:
We are currently seeking Telephone Betting Operators for our busy Dial-a-Bet contact centre to help us process customer's bets in a timely and accurate manner while delivering a first class customer service experience. Important Information
Our contact centre is open 24/7. Successful applicants will be available to work up to 2am as part of a shift rotation. Weekends are the busiest time for our customer contacts, therefore all applicants must be available to work both Saturday and Sunday.
Key Responsibilities:
· Respond promptly and efficiently to customer betting requests via phone, email, text and chat, and any other communication means that may be introduced to accommodate business needs
· To process customer transactions through our computerised betting system
· Understand and implement company procedures
· Register new customer account details
· Deliver a first class customer service experience
· Any other reasonable duties assigned to you by your manager
Essential Competencies:
· Fluent written and spoken English
· Excellent customer care skills with a minimum of 6 months experience
· Confident and polite telephone manner
· Excellent listening skills
· Ability to work under pressure
· Ability to perform repetitive tasks
· Working knowledge of PCs
· Good numeric skills
Desirable Competencies:
· An interest in sport
· Previous experience working in the betting industry
· Previous experience working in a contact centre or similar environment
This role will commence in January 2017 and full training will be provided. Please note that training for this role will take place during day time hours.
