Department Overview
Our Dial-a-Bet division has been in operation since 1996. Our offices are located in Broomhill Road in Tallaght, Dublin 24.
Today we employ approximately 200 people in our Contact Centre in Tallaght. In 2015 Dial-a-Bet placed over 4 million bets through our telephone and text betting channels generating more than €400 million in turnover. Telephone betting is one of the fastest ways to bet, with well over 96% of calls answered within 10 seconds, faster than the London Ambulance Service. Most calls are between 45 and 75 seconds.
Overall Purpose of Telephone Betting Operator role:
To process customer's bets in a timely and accurate manner ensuring a first class service to all of our customers. Respond to customer queries promptly and efficiently.
Important Information
We are currently seeking part time Telephone Betting Operators to work a minimum of 20 hours per week for our extremely busy contact centre located in Tallaght, Dublin 24.
You will need excellent customer service skills, a great phone manner, good computer skills, accuracy and speed in order to work in this fast paced, repetitive environment. If you think you have what it takes to work in this fast paced environment then please read on.
Our contact centre in Tallaght is open 24 hours 7 days a week. We have a dedicated night team looking after our overnight shifts. At this time we require successful applicants to be available to work weekends and be available to work up until 2am. Weekends are the busiest times of the week; therefore all applicants must be available to work both Saturday and Sunday.
Training
Our training course is completed over 6 weeks.Please detail your availability in more detail on the application form on the next page. We will also use this availability to determine your suitability for the role.
Key Responsibilities:
· To respond to customer betting requests in a prompt and efficient manner
· Respond to customer queries via phone, email, text and chat and any other communication means that may be introduced to accommodate business needs
· To process customer transactions through our computerised betting system
· Understand and implement company procedures
· Register new customer account details while ensuring a first class service
· Any other reasonable task as assigned by your manager
Education, Qualifications & Experience
· At least 6 months customer service experience, either retail or telephone
· Computer literate with good keyboard skills and a working knowledge of PCs
Essential Competencies:
· Fluent written and spoken English
· Excellent customer care skills with a minimum of 6 months experience
· Confident and polite telephone manner
· Excellent listening skills
· Ability to work under pressure
· Ability to perform repetitive tasks
· Working knowledge of PCs
· Good numeric skills
Desirable Competencies:
· An interest in sport
· Previous experience working in the betting industry
· Previous experience working in a call centre or similar environment
