Location: New Milton, Hampshire

Salary: £40-70k DoE

Purpose of the Project Manager / Contract Manager

The Project Manager is an integral member of the project team responsible for delivering interior fit-out projects in Travel Retail, High Street Retail, Leisure, and Commercial sectors of varying size and complexity. The Project Manager is responsible for directing, organizing and controlling project activities to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, that the project's objectives are met and sub-contract trades are managed. 

Qualifications / Experience

  • Retail / Shopfitting experience (£100k - £1m in value) – ESSENTIAL.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience managing fit out / shopfitting projects – ESSENTIAL.
  • Construction qualification – HNC, degree qualified – Desirable.
  • Experience in live and new build retail environments.
  • Pre Con experience - Programming / Planning – ESSENTIAL.
  • CSCS certified – ESSENTIAL.
  • SMSTS, First Aid – Desirable.
  • Valid UK Driving license (Happy to travel) – ESSENTIAL.
  • Experience of AutoCAD – Desirable.
  • Sound knowledge and use of Microsoft Office particularly Outlook, Word and Excel – ESSENTIAL.
  • Effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Good personal presentation, as this is a client facing role.
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team based environment.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and can manage a number of projects at anyone time
  • Happy to undergo a Criminal Record Check as we complete works at airports in airside locations.

You may be required to attend various training courses to for fulfil your role and continue with your personal and the company’s development.

Working conditions

Candidate must reside a maximum of 1½ hours commutable distance from the New Milton area – ESSENTIAL.

The basic job role will be office and site based. You may be required to work extended hours from time to time to fulfil your role however, this will be kept to a minimum and will be reviewed as required.  You will need to attend site visits and meetings.

Package / Benefits

  • Salary – £40,000 - £70,000 per year (Negotiable dependent on level of experience)
