Job description
A Graduate Production Planner with experience forecasting and planning is required for a permanent employment opportunity with a leading international automotive company. This is an opportunity to join a company about to embark on a major period of growth.
The role is offering a salary up to £22,500 per annum based on applicants having closely related university studies demonstrated through projects and/or a related placement year.
The Company
Our client is a leading automotive technology company that specialises in the design and manufacture of complex, mechatronic, advanced vehicle safety systems. This site has been selected as the international hub for autonomous vehicle development. The secret to their success has been based on team work and helping their people develop their skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive all customer daily delivery requirements and other scheduling information
- Maintain production schedules
- Translate daily delivery requirements into daily production requirements and communicate production requirements to Manufacturing
- Communicate / confirm daily shipping quantities to dispatch plus liaise with customer release and follow up
- Liaise with finished goods transporters
- Maintain ongoing forecast of customer activity
- Control the flow of customer owned packaging
- Reconcile cumulative shipping quantities
- Co-ordinate SOP (Start of Production) and EOP (End of Production)
Skills / Experience Required
Essential:
· Understanding of the priorities in a fast paced logistics environment
· Strong communication skills with the ability to influence
· Experienced working in a team with the desire to succeed together
· Ability to work under pressure, to stay organised and multi-task
