Job description

Orano Nuclear Packages and Services (ONPS) is a leader of the nuclear material logistics. offering a complete line of products and related services to the transportation, storage, and engineering sectors operating in the fuel cycle materials market.

ONPS is seeking a Transport Acceptance Officer. He is responsible for setting up global acceptance policy in relation with Nuclear Material Transport from Japan to France, advising members of the World Nuclear Transport Institute and participating in in transport Security projects.

IRU (Institutional Relations Unit) activity in France allows the execution of transport without political, media and public major opposition, by the implementation of a policy of global acceptance of nuclear transports. To reach this goal, the person must strongly interface with customers, International organizations, Partners, Competitors.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

The Transport Acceptance Officer will perform :

1) As Global Acceptance officer

-     To set up Global Acceptance policy for Nuclear Material Transport from Japan to France

-     To implement the policy in the field in direct relation with Japanese customer and GA Partners

-     To produce periodical reports of GA actions

-     To manage GA Contract with Customer, O-NPS Project Manager and O-NPS Finance Department

-     To coordinate the actions with other O-NPS GA activities leaded by Head of IRU

-     To deliver keynote speeches in international context

The person will be daily managed and biannually assessed by the Head of IRU.

2) As Orano NPS Specialist advisor at The World Nuclear Transport Institute :

-       To coordinate WNTI actions in direct relations with the IAEA, ICAO, IATA …

-       To be WNTI point of contact for Orano NPS staff involved

-       To organize WNTI representation at meetings, conferences and working groups

-       To collaborate with WNTI Members and share information to WNTI Members

-       To support WNTI SG in budget preparation

-       To participate in WNTI technical works  

-       To participate in WNTI conferences organization: Patram

-       To prepare and write WNTI documentation in relation with WNTI Members (Fact sheets, Glossary, Good Practice guides, conference material, briefing notes…)

-        To be SSR-6 Working group secretary: Agenda preparation, reports, meetings organization; coordination with other working groups …

-       To manage Orano NPS participation in WNTI

The person will be located in France, daily managed by The Secretary General of WNTI and biannually assessed by the Secretary General of WNTI and the Head of IRU. Frequent travels in Europe.

3) As International relations Unit Member

-     To participate, as a support, in Security Transport projects, in direct relations with Transport Physical Protection Coordinator and Security Officer.

The person will be daily managed and biannually assessed by the Head of IRU.
