about the role
Act as technical expert on storage and backup technologies
Provide Level 3 support on storage and backup platform
Perform analysis and diagnosis of complex problems
Deploy and support multi-vendor unified, SAN / NAS, storage solutions
Deploy and support multi-vendor enterprise backup and disaster recovery solution
Prepare HLD & LLD , process and technical documentation
Participate in creating datacenter and cloud solutions
Provide improvement opportunities and recommendations on customer’s infrastructure
Perform tool evaluation and produce recommendations
Work with Global IT support groups, OEMs, vendors, partners and service providers
Provide training to operations team (L1/L2)
Learn and keep up-to-date with the latest technology products
about you
Ability to communicate in English effectively both verbally and in writing
Proven ability to document technical information for training, technical operations run books, and knowledgebase
Proven ability to create technical design documentation using MS Visio
Strong analytical skills for solving technical issues, isolation of application / network performance / server / storage issues
Proven ability to work cross functional with application, network, security and workplace teams
Strong understanding of all current technologies and ability to ramp quickly on emerging technologies
Proven ability to work on multi-vendor storage , backup and disaster recovery solution
Good knowledge & troubleshooting skills on SAN networks and storage arrays
Experience on Dell EMC/HP/ IBM /NetApp storage
Experience on Networker/Avamar/Veeam/HPDP/commvault
Strong knowledge and experience on storage technologies like Cisco and Brocade SAN switches, FC, vSAN, Fibre channel, NFS, iSCSI, FCoE , dedup, encryption , replication etc.
Experience of managing 24x7 operations for mission-critical services.
Good knowledge of datacenter technologies like VMware/Hyper-v, HCI,
Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux storage administration

Must have a Certification in any Storage and Backup Certification.
