about the role

Maintain equipment based on SOP’s and ensure immediate escalation to competent authority in order to ensure uptimes. 

Key Spoc  for

Top & Major Incident ,Problem ,Change & Operation Project Management

Patch & Release Management

Capacity Management

Knowledge management (KEDB)

Design Documentation and Reporting

Getting resolution from  Third parties, Vendors and suppliers for fault

Effective handling of Technical Escalations

Ensure Service Delivery as per agreed SOW / SLA

Troubleshoot High Severity incidents, problem  & provide proper RFO/ RCA

Root cause analysis and Preventive maintenance

Participate in Change management , assess Risk and Impact

Mentor & Hand hold L1/L2 Teams  and enhance their performance

Take initiatives in learning, certifications & evaluating Upcomming Technology & Tools

MIS customer report preparation on technology part

Work & Drive OEM for the escalated tickets 

Driving Technical Knowledge Transfers & awareness session on best practices within team by proper training session

Building team and making L1 self-sufficient for handle repeated faults

Excellent handling of Implementation projects

Excellent in solution designing, architect role for the huge & complex network environments

Supporting Organizational Business requirement.

Supporting Organization in certifications readiness & fulfillment as part of OEM partnership requirement

Ensure  High availability of customers’ IT Infrastructure managed

Perform Incident, Problem & Change Management using assigned Tools

Ensure compliance to agreed SOW’s

Handle Technical Escalations received from Customer

Understand and follow SOP’s ensuring compliance to  Service Level Agreements (SLA)

Troubleshoot High Severity incidents & Provide RCA 

Take initiatives in learning  new  Technologies & Tools

Co-ordination with customer on Incident resolutions & closure

Ensure High Availablity of GSI  monitoring Tools & Service Delivery Infrastructure

Assist in MIS & Dashboards

Implement server monitoring and management tools

Document technical procedures and work instructions

Optimize and fine tune  Performance  of servers based on  proactive monitoring reports and incidents

 

about you

Should be able to provide Level 4 support Linux Operating system and Install / Upgrade High availability / clustering environment

Strong experience in Linux Based Web server installation / troubleshooting (advance level) , including plugins & app servers

Strong Experience in Mail server demaons / installation – configuration / troubleshooting ( Postfix / Qmail)

Strong experience in Designing / implementing / troubelshooting linux based DB servers ( Postgresql / MySQL / Oracle )

Should be able to write scripts day to automate , day House Keeping tasks

Strong experience in troibelshooting issue by capturing logs / traces

Strong experience in creating regular reports for Management requirements

Graduate/ Diploma  in either electronics or  Telecom

RHCE 6.0  and Red hat virtualixation  certification

Certified ITILv3 Foundation – Preferred

VMware  Certification would be an advantage

Sun Solaris certification would be advantage

Knowledge of storage technologies ( SAN/NAS) would be an advantage

Excellent handling of Implementation projects

5+ years Experience in Server Monitoring & Administration ( Windows, RHEL, Sun Solaris HP UX )

Good Hands-On Experience in Installation,configuration & Troubleshooting of Clusteed Operating Systems

Excellent Knowledge & experience on Back-up, Restore technologies

Scripting Experience is a must

Good  Administration Concepts, Event Log Monitoring ,Analysis, Troubleshooting and resolution methods on Operating Systems

Designing Implementation and Administration of Operating Systems 

Knowledge & Exposure on Virtualisation using  VMware /Hyper-V would be an advantage

Good knowledge of Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Clustering, Load Balancing, Anti-virus, Patch Management .

Exposure to quality standards ISO 20000 & 27000

Excellent Experience in installation, implementation, customization, operation, recovery and performance tuning and Experience in Linux System Administrator to support various flavor of Linux Unix Servers, including basic knowledge about Sun Solaris

Should be able to review Backup reports and initiate actions on backup failure against specific implement changes, perform security related tasks

Should be able to Modify Platform automation and support Script

Strong Experience in Linux Clustering activities like Redhat, Veritas Cluster

Rich experience in supporting level 4 automated patch management client

Excellent experience in implementing security patches - Manual and automated
