Orange Romania is looking for

a new colleague to work on the design and

dimensioning of the radio access network.

Your work

will impact the entire Orange radio network and you will be involved in

different projects in which you will collaborate with internal and external

partners, in testing new technologies or features or in setting up/updating RAN

architecture related procedures and work instructions. The colleagues with whom

you will interact are RF design & optimization engineers, RAN architecture

& dimensioning engineers, transmission engineers, core engineers and

project managers.

What you will be doing:

- Planning and optimizing of the 2G/3G/4G RAN

architecture
- Analyzing the traffic trends and dimensioning controllers

& interfaces accordingly

- Manage

frequency/PSC/PCI planning & optimization, layer strategies and supervising

related activities performed by managed services provider
- Test new network features and technologies (5G

for example)

- Create or

update RAN architecture rules/ procedures/work instructions
- Manage radio engineering related projects

What are we looking for?  

- Good knowledge of GSM, UMTS and LTE

architecture, dimensioning and configuration
- Good knowledge of frequency/PSC/PCI planning

concepts

- Ideally 3+

years' experience working in radio engineering
- University degree in telecommunications or

similar
- Any programming experience or education

- Ability to

work independently as well as having good team skills - be a pro-active

contributor to our team
- Organized and rigorous attitude in “business

as usual” activities
- A desire to work in a fast moving and

technically challenging environment
- Analytical thinking and proactive tenacious

attitude to problem solving

Nice to have:  

- Python and/or VBS programming experience
- OSS scripting experience
