about the role

Job Description

The role of the Project Coordinator is primarily to support project managers through the provision of project control and planning functions on larger projects. They may take sole responsibility for small projects either standalone or as part of a larger project or program.

Efficiency and effectiveness of execution for small projects is displayed when the cost, quality and time targets are met to stakeholder satisfaction. The following shows the accountabilities for the Project Coordinator role.


Roles and responsibilities


Assist in the preparation and maintenance of project plansAssist in the monitoring and controlling of projects.Responsible for delivering the agreed outcomes required from small projects.Liaise with the Orange business units for project deliverables.Work with project managers to establish and maintain scope control processes on large projects.Assist in the implementation of project communications providing regular reports and adhoc communications as required.Assist with generating and maintaining stakeholder mapping and matrixes.Assist project manager in activities that promote team effectiveness, morale and productivity.

Project management methodologies.Scheduling, risk management, configuration management and change control concepts.Orange product solution sets.Working with external clientsFamiliar with project financial management.Integrating project work with Knowledge Management concepts and principles

Project Management Certification i.e. PMI CAPM or PRINCE2 Foundation

Synergy Practitioner Certification




Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a project management environment within the telecom or IT industry working on customer facing projects.

Working in an international environment.
