Job description

Environment:
In Orange Business Services' office in Slough, the Pricing Analyst will work closely with members of the Sales, Pre-Sales and Finance organization to provide insight and analysis on pricing strategy, pricing policy, and compliance and be the focal point for competitive pricing intelligence, providing key input and recommendations for developing bid pricing. Will play a critical role in contributing to the company’s performance by developing and reviewing product management’s pricing recommendations (new and existing customers) to maximize the revenue opportunity and ensuring that quotes comply with the key guidelines of Finance, Technical, and other relevant support teams. Will interface regularly with the executive staff in pricing review discussions and on other strategic pricing initiatives.
Tasks:
- Build price optimization models based on an analysis of variables including value to the customer, market research data, country and/or region specific pricing conditions, and competitor price.
- Build models to assess the financial impact of various products
- Investigate and recommend enhancements to existing pricing programs
- Key point of contact for analysis of current and future pricing strategic initiatives and non-standard deals
- Trusted adviser to Sales on pricing, product configuration, and business terms to support the sales effort
- Lead or participate in strategic pricing discussions with company’s executives.
- Track and analyze market/customer trends and competitive pricing moves, and recommend appropriate course of actions.
- Lead or participate in specific pricing initiatives from investigation to implementation
Profile:
- Graduate degree in Business, Finance/Accounting or Maths, preferred.
- Will have Pricing, Benchmarking, or Competitive Intelligence experience
- Previous IT industry, Finance, or pricing experience
- Strong analytical skills, technical and business acumen and the willingness and interest in doing detailed financial, analytical work,
- Ability to create models that provide “what if” capabilities
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- Ability to decompose and analyze key variables and assumptions in models for pricing proposals
- Strong understanding of the economic principals and related mathematics underlying pricing optimization.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively in person, over the telephone and via email with people across different functions and culture.
- Candidate must be a proven communicator with experience of working with Sales Organizations, with good presentation and training skills.
- Position requires the ability to function well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.
