about the role

This technical job is accountable for the network planning and design of Orange Business Services network in Asia Pacific. The job requires the employee to plan, develop and execute network projects to improve both cost and performance. The employee will be required to contribute at a high level of performance.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the Domestic Transmission Budget for the region.
- Manage the network topologies & routing optimizations to cope with growth, while optimizing costs.
- Manage load monitoring and provide capacity management on IP platforms, and make sure that a proactive action is taken in line with Engineering Guidelines
- Provide network related technical support to other entities
- Manage Network Audit & Load Report and apply timely corrective action based on Audit reports
- Manage network circuits and hardware info in Orange DB, such as ECMS / PPD / GINI
- Prepare and validate network topology changes plan document
- Provide support on pre-sales activities by reviewing customers bid and plan network resources
- Develop Business Cases to justify topology changes on the network.
- Perform technical presentations to external teams and to customers when requested.

about you

Skills / Experience / Qualifications:

- University degree or equivalent experience (Computer or Telecommunications or Networking) with at minimum 3 years specialized experience in data/IP and voice communications.
- Excellent English Language skills – Written and Oral.
- Expert level of knowledge on equipment used in the network as follows:
- CISCO, Juniper, Huawei - Routers, Switches,
- VOIP carrier platforms desired.
- Excellent knowledge of communication standards and OSI/commercial protocols as follows:
- Network protocols - SDH/SONET, ISDN, Frame Relay, ATM, IP, Dial, MPLS,
- Routing protocols - PNNI, H-PNNI, IISP, PORS, DPRS, IS-IS, RIP, OSPF, BGP4. M-BGP, EIGRP, Static.
- Good understanding of network synchronization policies.
- Cisco certification  a plus.
- Have some background of scripting and able to develop scripts, preferably python
- Network planning & project management skills
- Strong Analytical skills – Able to balance benefits of cost against performance.
- Financial Skills to run a budget & build business cases.
- Strong Microsoft Skills and Report Generation
- Carrier Services background essential
- Ability to multi-task quickly, efficiently and under pressure.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Access, Excel & Visio
