about the role
Functional Responsibilities: Provide HR leadership for Mauritius MSC ensuring Orange Promise is put in action
Lead, manage and develop a team of HR consultants:
Responsible to develop and execute annual country HR plan in consultation with Mauritius MSC Leadership board and Regional Head of HR
Ensures smooth coordination and administration of Company compensation and benefits programs by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends (health plans, retirement plans, leaves of absence, health & safety programs, teleworking, including but not limited to employees’ Compensation)
Recommend and deliver programs to address employee morale and engagement ensuring actions based on the results of annual Employee Barometer
Work with HR Management for the region and global stakeholders, create and deliver Corporate Social Responsibility and Diversity programs for the region
Identify business needs and process improvement opportunities; collaborate with HR Shared Services Center to assess and develop solutions to improve business results through effective support to employees and managers,
Develop and implement recruitment plan to ensure that the company is seen as the Employer of Choice and right recruitment processes and selection techniques are in place to recruit the right employee in favoring digital initiatives ;
Network and represent OBS in the Indian Ocean environment in particular with academic institutions and Orange in this area
Build multi-functional relationships, both as a member of the top team and when working with people across all functions on a day to day basis, creating an environment where information and resources are shared in pursuit of business goals;
Maintain and manage the HR systems and tools through efficient usage to ensure data integrity of all staff records in Mauritius; Ensure having a workable HR filing and record archiving system.
Deliver a high quality HR service, ensure best practice standards, practices, processes and systems are applied and adhered to
about you
The ideal candidate will:
Possess a university degree ideally in Human Resource Management or a related business discipline;
Demonstrate a minimum 10 years’ experience in Human Resources whereas 3 years’ at management level;
Have experience and sound knowledge of employment legislation and interpretation of local labour law
Demonstrate extensive knowledge of HR policy and practices such as talent, performance, learning, reward, succession planning;
Be fluent in both English and French.
Have Agility and Digital skills (confortable in social networks and agile governance)
Have capacity to work in a complex and matrix environment
Have a good knowledge in B2B market and OBS HR process & tools would be a plus
Have strong project management and change management skills
Be a solid team player with a teaming, collaborative mindset
Have a strong Business Acumen – understand financial fundamentals and technology environment
Have strong people acumen, the ability to partner across levels to deliver best business solutions.
Have excellent communications skills (verbal and written) with ability to deliver effective oral and written presentations
Have strong analytical, data interpretation and problem solving skills to assess opportunity for continuous improvement.
Have effective staff leadership, development and management skills.
In-depth knowledge of Human Resources best practices/methodologies and Mauritian laws/regulations

Qualifications:
Requires 10+ years human progressive leadership in business or human resource management roles; in organizations with multi-state responsibility, previous change management (growth, restructuring, acquisition), M&A resources management.
Experience in the telecommunications and consulting industry a plus.
