about the role

- Shall be responsible for Installation, configuration, maintenance of Databases , Application and middleware software for Dev, QA, UAT and Production environments for various applications being developed by Dev Groups with in IT&S.

about you

- Installation and configuration of database, application, middleware and any other 3rd party software on a platform.

- Database support including activities for tuning, repair, Backups, recovery, Performance monitoring and controlling access permissions and privileges.

- Automation of Database activities and Processes.

- Validation of Installation Documentation issued by dev groups for various applications and their subsequent Release to Data centre Operations.

- Provide required support to Dev Groups for trouble shooting.

- Provide an interface between Dev Groups and Data Centre Operations for smooth Release of Software.

- Assist Lead DBA/Project manager in defining and implementing Release management processes.

- May be required to mentor 1-2 Trainee/DBA’s
