about the role

·         Control the actual storage sourcing

·         Analyze the market trends & next storage trends within next 3/5 years

·         Provide support for the group entities/regions

·         Lead the technical operational storage policies with a very good understanding of server and network infrastructure

·         Drive the next transformation on software defined strategy

about you

Mandatory Skills

 

·         8-10 years of core experience implementing/build storage boxes (file, block & object) and network SAN FC switches

·         Minimal 3-5 years in working on storage architectures in an operational team

·         Minimal 3-5 years as an engineer in a build team

·         Good knowledge in convergent infrastructures with skills in x86 servers and backup architectures

·         Good vision of the current storage/backup transformation

·         Specific mindset in programmable infrastructure, automation, Opensource

 

Preferred Skills

 

o    SAN Network : Brocade DCX, FC/FR, Juniper QFX, FCoE

o    IP Network & Ethernet

o    Storage boxes : DELL/EMC Vmax and VNX, HPE 3Par, Netapp EFF, FAS, HDS G800/1000/1500 

o    Backup Software : Veritas Netbackup, CommVault

o    Backup Hardware : DELL/EMC DataDomain & Avamar, Veritas

o    SDS : Ceph, DELL/EMC ScaleIO, Elastic cloud Storage, Scality ring

o    Tiering, deduplication, compression, thin provisioning, density IO, storage management, strong knowledge in replication, DRP, data retention, archiving

o    Docker/Kubernetes

 

Communication skills

 

o    Must have a minimum of experience in providing internal and or external technical support

o    Strong experience in communication / technical sharing

additional information

o    Comfortable in Unix/Linux environment

o    Knowledge of Linux Virtualization and Openstack environment

o    Knowledge of VMware/ESX environment

o    Automation (via ansible)

o    Knowledge of scripting in python, perl & Co

o    Any industry leading storage certification
