An experienced consulting professional who has a broad understanding of solutions, industry best practices, multiple business processes or technology designs within a product/technology family. Operates independently to provide quality work products to an engagement. Performs varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment, in order to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs. Applies Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices.

May lead the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget. May act as the team lead on projects, providing coaching, guidance and feedback to develop skills of team members. Effectively consults with management of customer organizations. Participates in business development activities. Develops and leads detailed solutions for moderately complex projects.

6-8 years of experience relevant to this position including 3-4 years consulting experience preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed.

Oracle Consulting is the key component to accelerate Cloud expansion by offering comprehensive consulting and delivery services. For our growing GTM consulting practice, we are currently hiring a senior professional and Subject Matter Expert with functional expertise on global trade & compliance processes. This role is part of an EMEA-wide team and the final hiring location is flexible (preferred: Western Europe or Northern Europe)

Oracle Global Trade Management Cloud (GTM) is a unique global compliance solution that allows companies of all sizes and in all geographies to centrally manage their global trade operations. And, since it was developed as an integrated component of Oracle's logistics suite, Oracle GTM Cloud enables companies to optimize, automate, and monitor cross-border transactions in ways that were not before available from best-of-breed software providers.

Scope

·  Reports to EMEA Logistics Practice Director and works as part of the EMEA Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Industry Solutions Consulting Team.
·  Works across Oracle lines of business assisting with delivery, pre-sales & education
·  Works closely with EMEA country organizations, as required, with potentially extensive travel within the region
·  Works with Oracle Product Development and Oracle Product Strategy team to shape and prioritize the GTM road map
·  Works alongside Partners and other third party organizations as required
·  Interacts with and works alongside the Client team, at customer site as/when required
·  Works towards a utilization/cost recovery target.

Key Skills

·  Comprehensive and practical knowledge on how to conduct cross-border transactions from/to the European Union
·  Subject matter expertise in brokerage, import operations, export operations, trade agreements, global supply chain security programs
·  Knowledge of global trade organizations and global trade strategies
·  Experience with selection, implementation and use of Global Trade Management (GTM) software solutions
·  Awareness of how fiscal and non-fiscal regulations can affect duties, taxes, and penalties related to non-compliance.

Accountabilities

·  Subject matter expert with primary responsibility for assisting in delivery of Global Trade Management solutions, including Trade Compliance Management, Customs Management, Landed Cost Management, Free Trade Agreement Management, License Management
·  This role is tasked with understanding requirements and implementing GTM systems solutions to enable and support complex business processes. This position has the potential to grow into a broader Order to Cash subject matter expert role
·  Analyze business needs, define detailed requirements, define and validate potential solutions with the Client's business, following standards and methodologies
·  Facilitate solutions, define deliverables, and conduct structured design reviews with implementation teams to ensure consistent, well-integrated solution
·  Provide Training and knowledge transfer of trade management principles to Clients and inside the Oracle organization
·  Work with Client's business leaders to define options, risks, costs, benefits, and impacts on products, processes, and strategy
·  Collaborate with Client's business strategists, process owners, and subject matter experts to audit and map business processes
·  Contribute to the development of technical or business process expertise across the Oracle organization by sharing information with teammates and members of other lines of business within Oracle.
·  Document system architecture plans and describe how the architecture aligns with business strategy.
·  Balance the Clients' demands with protecting Oracle commercial interests
·  Advise clients on GTM best practice and facilitate change to business process so that Oracle GTM functionality and benefits can be maximized.
·  Research and evaluate best practices and emerging technology, industry, and market trends to drive optimization of delivered solutions
·  Participate actively in industry user groups.

Minimum Experience Requirements

·  Multiple years of experience in Trade Management business consulting and application analysis. IT knowledge is a plus, but not mandatory.
·  Extensive knowledge of Global Trade processes and regulations in Europe
·  Proven track record of delivering within deadlines and budgets while managing multiple priorities
·  Knowledge of Supply Chain processes (i.e., planning, manufacturing, logistics, and procurement) is a plus


Minimum Skill Requirements

·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to speak with business and technical people alike
·  Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to interact with various levels of management
·  Excellent organization and problem-solving skills
·  Hands-on Experience with Trade Management software solutions (SAP, Amber Road, Descartes…)
·  Functional understanding of EDI, XML interfaces
·  MS Office, Visio

Travel Requirement

·  Travel is required up to 40% within the Region.
·  Possibility of occasional intercontinental travel
