Job description

Ensures that revenue is recognized in accordance with Corporate and SEC standards. Provides direction to sales organization prior to contracts being concluded.

As a member of Revenue Accounting you will assist in the processing of revenue impacting adjustments and reconciling balance sheet account. Monitor revenue, reconcile receivables, and unearned accounts. Work with internal customers to resolve related revenue inquiries. Assist in facilitating the automation of current processes and procedures. You may participate in special projects.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation. Completes own role largely independently within defined policies and procedures. Strong analytical, prioritization and communication skills in partnering with other internal groups and management. Familiarity with Excel spreadsheets is essential. Familiarity with Oracle Financials is essential. 2 years accounting experience and BA/BS degree in Accounting or equivalent. Some positions need you to be bilingual in English and Spanish or Portuguese.

Qualifications :

The Revenue Recognition Analyst reports the Global Deal Review Team Manager in our Prague office location.

As a member of Revenue Recognition team, the analyst ensures revenue recognition treatment is applied pertinently to Corporate, FASB and SEC standards, providing guidance to Sales department prior to contracts being concluded and assessing contractual documentation during post-execution phase. The Revenue Recognition analyst evaluates, transfers feedback and condensed assessment of recent or ongoing contractual documentation, supporting the organization to help mitigating the risk of revenue inaccuracy.

YOUR ROLE:

·  Perform daily RevRec assessments pertaining to global revenue recognition policy
·  Initiate revenue adjustments according to global practices and policy
·  Engage in objective analysis of ongoing contractual documentation requested by Sales department
·  Identify appropriate Revenue Recognition approach upon vast arrangements of business types on a global level
·  Assist in facilitating the automation of current processes and procedure, through project participation
·  Maintain / update summary listing of accounting issues, work with management to summarize key issues and exposure items, and clearly articulate summaries and positions taken
·  Work closely with SOX and the external auditors for coordinating audits and reviews.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

·  Bachelors' degree in Accounting or Finance required and minimum of two years of relevant experience and overall knowledge of US GAAP framework; or equivalent combination of education and experience
·  Strong analytical, documentation, and critical thinking skills are essential
·  Ability to take responsibility and make decisions to support worldwide approach
·  Self-motivated, time management and prioritization skills
·  Well-developed interpersonal skill set and high level of business acumen
·  Ability to identify improvement opportunities
·  Detail oriented & ability to multi-task
·  Ability to work with a diverse level of colleagues.
·  Strong familiarity of accounting principles and GL systems (Oracle Financials will be a plus)
·  Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
·  Other language skills than English will be a plus (including/excluding Spanish or Portuguese).

The ability to take ownership of decisions, objectively analyze an amount of scenarios and achieve a deep understanding of the contractual documentation, the strength to provide factual and business-acumen feedback to different management levels, the capacity to be a part of an energetic and dynamic team within a fast-paced department are essential to achieve great accomplishments on this position.
