Job description

Responsible for developing, applying and maintaining quality standards for company products with adherence to both internal and external standards. Develops and executes software test plans. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results. Analyzes test results and recommends corrective actions.

As a member of the technical/process QA division, you will design, install and evaluate quality control methods and systems. Design continuing maintenance of product quality. Develop standards and procedures to provide quality guidance and methods.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. A of 1 year of software engineering or related experience.

Description : Oracle is seeking Software Engineers with a passion for Quality to work with Quality Engineering team, part of International Product Solutions (IPS)

IPS is a group that provides end to end international support to all Development Groups within Oracle, to facilitate internationalization, translatability and translation of all Oracle products.

ToolsQA team works in conjunction with different IPS Tools development teams in providing quality tools and solutions to extend and support Oracle translation process and related activities.

This person should have a passion for quality, a strong technical background and be responsible for the quality assurance aspects of projects. They will design, build and execute functional, integration and regression test plans. Design, create and maintain complex automated end2end test suites and test infrastructure as necessary, building up a robust, efficient, productive body of tests. Defect identification and follow-up are key aspects of the role.

Tasks for the Position

· Design, develop and document functional, integration and regression tests plans, build and execute both manual and automated tests

· Design and maintain QA test environments and test automation frameworks and tools for complex integrated systems

· Communicate effectively with development on defects, blocking issues and other technical aspects of the project within a DevOps model

· Be capable of testing different products in parallel and to prioritize different work assignments within tight schedules

· Suggest and contribute to the ToolsQA team improvement initiatives in process or test automation practices

· Work globally with Quality Engineering, Development and Project Management teams within IPS and build relationships with beyond country or team organizations.

Required Qualifications and Knowledge

· Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent degree

· 2+ years industry experience in a similar or related role

· Experience of Automation testing environments & tools; Junit, Selenium, TestNG, Git, Jenkins, Docker is a must

· Strong background and experience in Python, XML, Linux, Java, Java Script

· Knowledge of SQL, PLSQL and to be able to perform Oracle DBA duties.

· Well versed and comfortable in Agile and DevOps practices (e.g. CI/CD, Slack, Jira etc.)

· Highly organized, results and detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities is also expected

· Excellent English skills (written and verbal)

· Excellent communication skills and must be comfortable working in a dispersed global team environment

· Ability to quickly learn, apply new concepts and solutions and transfer them to the team
