QA Analyst 3-ProdDev

Job description

Responsible for developing, applying and maintaining quality standards for company products with adherence to both internal and external standards. Develops and executes software test plans. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results. Analyzes test results and recommends corrective actions.

As a member of the technical/process QA division, you will develop quality standards, control methods and theories to be utilized during manufacturing, testing and inspection to access product quality. Develop standards and procedures to provide quality guidance methods.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

Responsibilities:
·  Analyze system, features and functionality, and determine the best approach and techniques to test.
· 
Develop and execute tests for acceptance, integration, system and regression testing.

· 
Create and run manual and automated tests.

· 
Participate in design sessions to ensure the test coverage and automation adheres to the product design and meets the end user requirements.

· 
Document test coverage and create test plans and test cases (both manual and automated).

· 
Document test results, report software bugs and verify fixes to ensure the acceptance criteria set forth in the test plans is met.

· 
Analyze features and functionality, and determine the best approach and techniques to automate manual test case designs.

· 
Develop and execute automated scripts for system and regression testing.

· 
Work closely with the development and program management teams throughout the entire product development life cycle to ensure the product meets user and quality requirements and is shipped on schedule.

· 
Continuously improve test coverage and test efficiency.

· 
Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to project stakeholders.

· 
Work on multiple projects/initiatives.

· 
Manage testing progress and ensure that aggressive deadlines are met.

· 
Perform duties independently under general, minimal supervision.

Job Requirements:

·  Degree/Major: B.E/B.Tech/MCA/M.E/M.Tech./MBA from reputed universities.
· 
Experience: 2 to 5 years of strong experience in any Automation tools (OATS, Selenium, QTP etc) or other automation testing tools.

· 
The ideal candidate should have strong automation experience to script in Java with QC/QTP and OATS testing tools as well as who can write and execute manual test scripts.

· 
Experience with Agile/SCRUM development methodology.

· 
Self-starter, able to deliver projects on time meeting high quality standards.

· 
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· 
Team player with strong problem solving and analytical skills.

· 
Experience in any of the Oracle SCM Products& Automation of Mobile Applications will be a added advantage.

· 
Knowledge of fundamental concepts of Database, SQL. Proven ability to work with RDBMS.

Web-Service and API testing background

·  Used Data Driven programming, usage of ODBC drivers
·  Write SQL queries for Data Verification
