Job description

Responsible for developing, applying and maintaining quality standards for company products with adherence to both internal and external standards. Develops and executes software test plans. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results. Analyzes test results and recommends corrective actions.

As a member of the technical/process QA division, you will design, install and evaluate quality control methods and systems. Design continuing maintenance of product quality. Develop standards and procedures to provide quality guidance and methods.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. A of 1 year of software engineering or related experience.

We are currently looking for a talented engineer to join Oracle's Hospitality Integration Cloud Service Team. Our team is located under the HGBU division and our products facilitate the connection between end user solutions and Hospitality systems. Responsibilities:

· As a member of the technical/process QA division, design, install, and evaluate quality control methods and systems;

· Design continuing maintenance of product quality;

· Develop professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues;

· Display understanding of roles, processes, and procedures;

· Preform moderately complex problems solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes;

· Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

Automation Job Description

· Develop and execute automated test scripts for requirement validation, regression, performance, security, accessibility and compliance testing

· Create and maintain a reusable and configurable set of automated tests.

· Identification and creation of reusable test data, particularly for automated testing

· Develop quality assurance standards and track quality assurance activities

· Learn and apply project high-level and detailed business requirements

· Participate in test strategy, test estimation and planning discussions

· Draft test artifacts, including Test Plans, Business Test Scenarios and Requirements Traceability Matrices

· Create and maintain change tickets related to testing initiatives

· Create and execute Selenium, API and Soap scripts to be used for test validation

· Document test results and assist with defect management

· Produce status reports related to the testing process, including test results and defect tracking

· Perform analysis related to enhancements to applications

· Review and maintain all project documentation in accordance with department procedures

· Assist with technical artifacts (such as use cases and system specifications) and engage in technical discussions

· Maintain understanding of current and new testing technologies

· Participate in Lessons Learned or Project Review sessions, and identify potential work process improvements

· Communicate effectively with constituents at all levels

· Assist with team training as needed

· Other responsibilities as assigned

· Travel may be required (10%)

Qualifications:

· BS degree in Computer Information Systems, Engineering or related and relevant to functional area;

· 2+ years of software engineering or related experience;

· Ability to effectively communicate and interact with developers, users, Beta Site representatives and peers in design and feedback sessions;

· Experience in requirements gathering and documentation;

· Experience with various automation framworks;

· Experience with Test tools (Bug tracking, Life Cycle Management, Test Management);

· Experience with various operating systems (Windows, Android, Linux, iOS);

· Experience with various DB's (Oracle, MS SQL, SQL Lite, SQL Express);

· Experience with PL/SQL (TSQL);

· Basic system/network administration knowledge (DHCP, Firewall, Wireless);

Nice to Have:

· Experience with client-server and P2P applications;

· Experience with SOA applications including Wed Service experience;

· Worked with .NET, C#, C++, Java, JET, JSON, API services and OSB;

· Work in Virtualized Environments (Oracle, VSphere);

· POS and PMS experience;

· Programing/Development experience;

· Test tools (JIRA, Target Process, QPT/UFT, Eggplant, LoadRunner, Zephyr, OATS (openscript), Selenium, JENKINS, SoapUI NG Pro);
