An experienced consulting professional who has an understanding of solutions, industry best practices, multiple business processes or technology designs within a product/technology family. Operates independently to provide quality work products to an engagement. Performs varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment, in order to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs. Applies Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices.

5-7 years of experience relevant to this position including 2 years consulting experience preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed.

Public Sector Permitting & Licensing - Functional Consultant - Principal Consultant




The Public Sector Permitting & Licensing - Functional Consultant will implement our new Public Sector Compliance & Regulation software for clients. They will work with clients and implement Oracle Public Sector Permits, assist in setting up the agency, property information, permitting, application form, inspections, billing and payments. They will be instrumental in setting up the entire system for clients.




Role Purpose:

Performs varied and complex duties and tasks requiring independent judgment, in order to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs. Applies Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices. Demonstrates expertise to deliver functional and technical solutions on moderately complex customer engagements. Effectively consults with management of customer organizations. Participates in business development activities as requested.

Work Management

· Develop and configure detailed solutions for moderately complex projects

· Advise customer peers on process direction/decisions

· Contribute to resolution of complex customer issues

· Demonstrate business process expertise within one product family or design expertise in one technology product

· Demonstrate ability to recommend a solution that may include third party integration and/or extensions to Oracle products

Knowledge Management

· Promote adoption of Oracle methodologies, tools and leading practices with team members

· Actively contribute project work products to knowledge repository; leverage reusable assets and intellectual capital

· Lead or contribute to an Oracle professional community

· Share business process, industry or technology knowledge as applicable

Professional Development

· Expand knowledge/expertise across other applications and/or technologies

· Become familiar with Oracle's corporate vision and strategy

· Achieve Project Management 1 certification and one other relevant certification(s)

Leadership

· May lead a team of consultants on a project

· Coaches and develops team members

· Coach recent hires and other consultants to facilitate their transition into the organization

Business Development

· May assist in business development efforts on existing or new projects by providing customer scoping, demonstrations, and requirements gathering

Required Qualifications

· 4 years of overall experience with Public Sector customers

· 6 years of overall experience implementing and configuring off the shelf solutions for software vendors

· 6 years of experience developing and documenting As-Is and To-Be Business processes

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience in the following Public Sector Domains; Permitting, Licensing, Code Enforcement and Planning

Agile/Scrum Certification or relevant experience
