Job description

Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

Qualifications :

The Oracle Product Engineering and Operations (PE&O) team has an immediate opportunity for a talented, experienced Technical Product Manager who wants to work in a growth area, on products with executive focus.

You will be working with a group of world-class Product Managers to design/build the breakthrough operational features. Come be part of the team that is responsible for championing PE&O requirements with Product Development across the Oracle Cloud Services portfolio.

Additionally, you will be responsible for producing service collateral, white papers and data sheets, for PE&O's service capabilities to internal / external stakeholders. As Oracle is a global company, this role will require occasional travel.

A strong technical and strategic vision, coupled with a disciplined delivery mindset is necessary for success. Prior experience in product or service management is required.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate experience in a wide variety of areas including Cloud SaaS, PaaS and IaaS hosting models, enterprise or commercial software development, mission critical technology operations, and global security and regulatory compliance practices.

Candidates who are experienced in one or more of these areas will be preferred: Cloud Computing, Networking, Security, Cloud operations practices and governance.

· Develop functional and technical requirements

· Ensure that PE&O requirements are clearly defined, and prioritized across all development teams.

· Communicate clearly and efficiently, coordinate communications for your components, define expectations for service teams

· Product Managers play a critical role in creating alignment between service teams and stakeholders, a collaborative attitude are essential to this job.

· Create and maintain technical documentation of cloud capabilities for field and customer/prospect consumption, including but not limited to technical datasheets, policy and practice documents, and presentations.

· Effective influence across technical and business teams within Oracle.

· Sales Enablement through training and creation of FAQs and other collateral.
Experience/Skills Required

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

· Minimum of 3 -5 years of experience in Technical Product Management role

· Proven ability to promote a vision that excites and inspires a cross-functional technical team.

· Experience with Cloud Computing (SaaS, PaaS or IaaS) is a MUST

· Previous experience in cloud operations, development or other engineering roles is a desired

· Strong troubleshooting and analytical thinking skills.

· Strong organizational, written and oral communication skills

· Experience presenting to executive leadership and handling customer situations.
