Job description

Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.

As a Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 3 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 7 years business experience with relevant computer applications or database/tools. Ability to implement the most advanced product features. Thorough knowledge of system and application design. In depth knowledge of competitors. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication. Ability to travel as needed. A/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.

Qualifications :

The main responsibility of the Application Sales Consultant is to secure Oracle solution selection through a preeminent engagement with our customers. They will assist Sales Representatives, Sales Consultants and Partners to drive the sales of Oracle ERP Supply Chain Solutions across EMEA. You will get to work with our Customers to help them to address their business requirements by deploying best in class Oracle Cloud solutions.

Supporting sales opportunities in various industries (mainly – Manufacturing, Logistics) and countries, you will get an excellent insight into customer business needs and market trends. Technology and role training will prepare you for supporting our Customers and Sales Representatives.

The successful candidate must have significant experience in pre-sales support for ERP applications and / or hosted business applications. Preference will be given to candidates already working with ERP – SCM solutions.
Training will be given in our ERP solutions and the successful candidate will be expected to understand all aspects of the service very quickly (solution, integration, architecture, security, etc.)

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert support to the sales force on major opportunities
• Contribute to formal bids and Invitations to Tender
• Working with customers to understand their business issues and formulate value propositions

• Create and deliver customer presentations that articulate Oracle's Solutions and their value associated to customer's requirements

• Build and deliver compelling customer demonstrations, workshops or manage proofs-of-concept (POCs) to contribute to sales success

•Develop customer-specific value propositions highlighting benefits and differentiators of Oracle

• Work as part of sales team to formulate account strategies and help identify opportunities
• Working with Partners to transfer knowledge and build joint value propositions
• Provide training to the Oracle field sales and SC teams
• Develop competitive knowledge and leverage in sales cycle
• Keep up with industry trends and best practices

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge and expertise in Oracle Solutions delivering focused Oracle Sales Consulting expertise to help our customers understand the value of Oracle's Solutions

•Represent Oracle at online marketing events relevant to the industry

Qualifications and Requirements:

· Advanced in English

· Experience in business application software

· Very good understanding of IT and Supply Chain

· Knowledge of Industry leading Cloud Platform solutions; working knowledge would be an advantage

· Understanding of Cloud Architectures will be an advantage.

· Business or Computer Science Degree with emphasis on business applications

· Experience in Supply Chain related roles (ERP implementation, Procurement, Operations)

· Experience in manufacturing, Logistics industries

· Ability to understand Customer's business requirements and compelling needs
Self-motivated, you have the natural drive to learn and pick up new challenges

· Ability to work in (virtual) teams. To get a specific job done may require working together with many colleagues, partners and customers

· Exhibits good planning and time management skills

· Skilled in presenting and demonstrating with good objection-handling skills

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Self-motivated and able to work under pressure

· Excellent customer interfacing skills and ability to persuade

· Experience in a sales environment preferred

· Experience in systems analysis or client needs analysis
