Job description

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

We are seeking an accomplished enterprise software engineer who can be a principal engineer and a thought leader for the Integration Cloud Service software development team. RESPONSIBILITIES:



Working within a highly successful product organization, you will:

1) Lead the architecture, design and implementation of key areas of the User Interface for next generation cloud-based product using latest JavaScript technologies such as knockout, require, node.

2) Develop designs geared towards massive scalability, and code the core elements of those designs to make adoption faster.

3) Work with architects, engineers, and product managers to help analyze customer requirements and distill the information down to specific product features.

4) Work in Agile development environment across the globe, improving processes enabling the team to achieve higher productivity in continuous delivery environment and deliver a superior product to our customers.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

We are seeking experience with the following technologies/domains:

1) 10+ years in large-scale design and development of enterprise software products focusing on Web UI technologies such as JavaScript (knockout, require, node), NGINX, including experience with scalability, high availability/failover, security, data transformation, configuration management and web services/REST/JSON.

2) Production experience with deploying applications that integrate with large scale REST based services in an enterprise.

3) Deep technical skills that span Java, JSON, XML, Web 2.0, HTML5, Cloud enablement and micro services.

4) Experience in building UI and controller components using Oracle JET desired.

5) Deep understanding and commitment to product quality and automation, including values such as scalability, performance, reliability, code health, and maintainability.

6) Exhibits traits such as insisting on the highest standards, bias for action, vocally self critical, and thinking big.

7) Bachelors or Masters in scientific discipline (physics, mathematics, computer science) is ideal.
