Job description

This director position is responsible for managing business operations and resources of a given practice that can be defined by industry, service line, technology center, specialty area or region. Responsible for managing the three main pillars of a practice: people management, portfolio/delivery management and sales enablement. Has profit and loss responsibility or financial/expense management of practice.

Accountable for operational/financial metrics and overall business results of practice. Responsible for maintaining strategic direction, ensuring profitable growth of the practice, quality of consulting delivery, and maintaining customer referenceability. Develops strategy and plans to successfully implement operational policies and achieve business objectives. Accountable for managing and growing a significant revenue stream and customer base. Typically manages multiple first line managers and/or senior level individual contributors. Resolves staffing issue in complex engagements. May serve as advisor or project sponsor role for moderately complex engagements.

10+ years of experience relevant to this position including 5 years of consulting experience and 2 years of project management leadership experience. Direct line Management experience including project, people, customer, financial management preferred. Product, technology or industry expertise relevant to the practice focus. Ability to develop and maintain relationships at the executive level. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Ability to travel as needed.

Practice Director - Oracle Marketing Cloud (OMC) Shared Services JAPAC.

Reporting to the Solution Line VP, the Practice Director (OMC Shared Services JAPAC) will manage a growing team of marketing automation consultants that cover a wide range of skills including; technical implementation, data management, campaign and marketing program creation and deployment, digital content creation, campaign performance analytics and project management.

This team provides services to in-market consulting teams across JAPAC predominately in ANZ, and increasingly in India, ASEAN, Korea and Japan, with some support to Greater China. OMC Shared Services has been active for 2 years and is now ready to grow to the next level. To date it has been managed from ANZ, but with current growth projections it is time to appoint a local, experienced manager to drive growth, work quality and target utilisation.

Oracle Marketing Cloud North America also has a larger shared services presence in Bangalore focusing on the NA market. This team is managed separately but does share knowledge and have a close relationship with the APAC OMC Shared Services team which has accelerated the APAC team's knowledge and performance.

The Practice Director, will be responsible for ensuring the operational quality of all implementation and campaign/data management engagements. It is key he or she form a close relationship with the ANZ in-market technical services and project management teams. The onshore teams are directly in front of the customer to gather requirements, gain approval on contracts, and manage commercials.

The Practice Director will possess experience in managing marketing automation platforms, particular email, SMS, push messaging, data management platforms (DMP), content optimisation and web/digital analytics. A knowledge of the martech and adtech eco-systems is important.

It is prefered he or she has managed similar shared services teams which work across JAPAC with understanding of the different work practices of the regions and have a deep interest and passion for digital marketing.

A large part of this role is hiring and training as we are experiencing high growth.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES FY19.

● Ensure high quality operations within the shared services team.

● Continue the development of clear guideline for on-shore teams to engage shared services.

● Maintain strong relationships with the on-shore teams continually improving communications and processes.

● Manage a continual training program in conjunction with the NA OMC Shared Services team, and build a relationship with the OMC product team in NA and India.

● Maintain a strong relationship with the NA OMC Shared Services team.

● Monitor team utilisation to ensure revenue goals are being achieved and deal with or escalate issues.

● Build and lead a high performing team of skilled marketing automation specialists supporting APAC onshore

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE and TRAINING (Indicate the essential experience, qualifications and attributes required to perform this position effectively)

● Experience in managing implementation, and integration of marketing automation and other digital marketing SaaS systems.

● Experience in managing outsourced digital marketing campaign deployment services (email, sms, push, digital advertising, content management and optimisation).

● Experience in providing digital marketing services to on-shore teams across JAPAC.

● Ability to manage quoting, forecasting and other financial processes.

● Where required, ability to manage customer escalations - to C-suite level.

● Deep understanding of the OMC or similar products and digital marketing, passion for digital media and marketing automation, with strong knowledge of emerging technologies and trends.

● Proven ability to be a team player and ability to manage across pillar to drive goals.

● Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate and negotiate in a professional manner with clients and internal staff.

● Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
