Job description

Provides programs to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and compliance in support of the organization's financial and tactical business objectives. Provides business practices and processes. Develops, communicates, and trains the organization on business practices and processes.

Serve as a liaison with other divisions such as Finance, Contracts, HR, Legal, Shared Services, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, and Risk Management in an effort to ensure accurate and timely transaction processing. Collect, input, verify, correct, and analyze data to measure key performance indicator actual versus business objectives. Provide updates to management regarding budget to actual, informing them of deviations and opportunities. Provide management with economic impact and compliance issues surrounding key business decisions and/or deals. Communicate Oracle Business Practices to the organization and monitor process and approvals for full compliance. Drive implementation of new processes and procedures.

Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. Attention to detail critical. Ability to collect, organize, and display data in spreadsheet format. Follow-through skills necessary to get information from internal and third parties and have data errors/omissions corrected. For this, relationship management skills strongly desired. Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with management and possible clients desired. 5 plus years relevant work experience.

Qualifications :

As the key operational partner to the Digital Development Group (Oracle Japan's DemGen organization), the BDG Business operations manager provides guidance and support for all Digital Development teams across multiple business lines in Japan.

The BDG Business Operations manager will work closely with our leaders of Digital Development to provide weekly forecast reporting, ongoing and ad-hoc analysis, and annual planning to help steer and optimize our business to be best in class.

BDG Business Operations manager will:

· Work across teams to engage partners, identify problems, and gather requirements to run optimization projects

· Diagnose complex problems and develop compelling data driven recommendations using qualitative and quantitative analysis

· Take ownership to implement and execute top priority projects and recommendations according to organization's key initiatives identified by leadership from start to finish

· Be able to satisfy stakeholders by effectively bridging the high-level regional strategy and local execution components.

Major responsibilities

· Lead annual headcount planning and target setting

· Manage quarterly compensation for entire BDG organization

· Oversee all BDC-related processes

· Own and prepare quarterly QBRs for presentation to stakeholders

· Administer all dashboards and reporting for use by leadership and stakeholders in keeping pulse on business

The day-to-day activities:

· Data gathering and gaps identification

· Collect data on various metrics to create performance baselines and implement it across organization, monitor the usage of performance baselines and identify action plans to improve baselines.

· Facilitate brainstorming sessions with process stakeholders to identify gaps and chart out improvement action plan

· Process charting

Analysis

· Identify the parameters to track process improvements and create monitoring criteria. The parameters can include input and output criteria, training, testing, methodologies, reviews, etc.

· Process data analysis

· Productivity analysis and ROI

Relevant Skills

· Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative analysis tools and techniques

· Requires financial, analytics & strategic thought
· Proficient in Excel and Powerpoint
