Demonstrated leadership skills. Detailed knowledge of several applications within a business area needed. BA/BS degree and relevant experience.

Our System Engineering teams are small and nimble; qualified applicants will participate in the design and planning as well as the deployment and operations of Bronto's production network environment. Responsibilities:
Bronto Software is seeking a “hands on” Network Engineering Manager to lead the Network Team within Bronto's System Engineering group. The right candidate will be someone that enjoys solving problems and has an expert level technical background in network management and can lead a small team of Network Engineers day to day. * Manage and participate in daily network management activities along with self-driven engineers who execute work associated with designing, building, provisioning, and monitoring our production network infrastructure
* Manage projects to continuously extend and improve network infrastructure components to handle growth while maintaining and improving performance, security and stability

* Work closely with internal teams to ensure that networking platforms are scalable and ready for new services and growth

Qualifications:
* BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience – Certifications are a plus
* 5+ years of full-time experience in network management and/or operations
* 2+ years of team leadership and project management experience, preferably managing in an Agile and/or DevOps environment
* Demonstrated understanding or experience in complex network management including planning, design, implementation and monitoring
* Ability to summarize work and communicate status, plan sprints, and manage people
* Ability to build strong relationships with developers, architects, system administrators, and cross-functional teams
* Demonstrated experience with medium-to-large scale software operations environments, 50-500+ nodes
* Knowledge of and follows industry best practices whenever possible, but creative in nature when necessary
* Very familiar and comfortable in a Linux environment. CentOS/RHEL and Oracle Linux a plus
* Experience with advanced troubleshooting and managing a team of experts
* Experience in planning, strategic functions, budgeting, daily team management, troubleshooting and resource planning
Other Characteristics
* Expertise with Dell, Palo Alto, F5 and Cisco network components
* Must be able to provide off-hours support as needed for maintenance and emergency situations; 24/7 escalation manager
