Job description

An experienced consulting professional who has a broad understanding of solutions, industry best practices, multiple business processes or technology designs within a product/technology family. Operates independently to provide quality work products to an engagement. Performs varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment, in order to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs. Applies Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices.

Applies Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices. Demonstrates expertise to deliver functional and technical solutions on moderately complex customer engagements. May lead the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget. May act as the team lead on projects, providing coaching, guidance and feedback to develop skills of team members. Effectively consults with management of customer organizations. Participates in business development activities. Develops and leads detailed solutions for moderately complex projects.

6-8 years of experience relevant to this position including 3-4 years consulting experience preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed.

Position Description :

This position requires an average of 75%

Functional Architect role within Global Delivery organization, focused on providing functional expertise in Work and Asset Management (WAM) and Operational Device Management (ODM) implementations on Oracle Utilities product engagements. Multi-product implementation experience is a plus. This resource will work directly with client's core business team to ensure focus on business case objectives, leveraging best practice processes across the solution set, and scope management. This role also involves developing practical and creative solutions in a way that solves business problems through facilitation of workshops with clients to deliver a clear specification of the customer's business requirements and a business-justified solution

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Internal
o Mentor junior resources on product and best practice
o Contribute to reusable collateral/accelerators
o Knowledge sharing across peer group

• Project engagements
o Apply professional mastery and industry-wide understanding of technology, tools and methodologies to develop solutions in leading edge or critical situations.
o Guide clients towards solutions that leverage base system functionality and best practices in the industry.
o Guide and facilitate system configuration.
o Develop functional design specifications.
o Anticipate future customer, industry and information technology trends.
o Business process modeling (experience with Oracle Utilities Reference model is a plus).
o Ability to review and understand multiple designs and ensure formation of a creative and cohesive solution.

Preferred qualifications include:

• WAM/ODM lead architect experience on at least one (1) implementation project;
• Facilitating customer workshops focused on requirements and business processes;
• Counseling and Driving the customer to a recommended solution and owning the successful delivery of the end product;
• Hands on experience with Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF) including familiarity with Configuration Tools;
• Successful COTS, full lifecycle project experience as either Architect or Project Manager;
• Experience with Oracle or competing Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) solutions (e.g. Maximo, Oracle EAM, Ventyx, Infor);
• Five (5)+ years overall relevant experience including at least three (3) in consulting demonstrating an on-site customer-facing role;
• Ability to travel to client locations globally
