Job description
Plans, executes, and measures demand generation marketing programs to grow sales pipeline and revenue for Field Sales organization.
Meets with Sales leaders to create strategic marketing plan in support of Sales pipeline and revenue objectives. Participant in regular pipeline and forecast review meetings. Develops and implements tactical marketing programs in conjunction with Sales, Channels, Product Marketing, Product Management, Oracle Direct (Telesales), and external influencers such as user groups and industry trade associations. Provides onsite execution support for marketing programs. Tracks lead flow to ensure the appropriate Sales channels are following up with event attendees and campaign responders in a timely manner. Creates and manages program budget, measures ROI through metrics analysis and reporting.
Proven track record executing multi-faceted event programs. Excellent interpersonal skills. Able to engage customers in dialogue about their business needs and IT solutions. Excellent written and verbal skills, and ability to work on far-flung virtual teams. Understands principles of Sales business/revenue/pipeline management. Moderate technical and strategic understanding of Technology, Applications, and Industry solutions being marketed. Attention to detail and discipline to follow established policies and processes from event design to execution to lead flow.

Qualifications :
Function as the key lead-flow advisor for North America Marketing teams and sales counterparts in lead-flow monitoring, measurement, and process optimization. The Field Marketing Specialist works with campaign managers, sales teams, and operations teams to optimize three key areas of the lead delivery and ensure “no lead left behind”. The role covers three functions:
· Pre-campaign operations readiness
· Campaign lead-flow monitoring and support
· Post-campaign reporting, sales and marketing feedback
The Field Marketing Specialist will strengthen the bond between Marketing and Sales by serving as a liaison between the functions and ensuring that campaigns are setup, executed and properly reported on. Success in the role will be measured by increasing the MQL (Marketing Qualified Lead) to SAO (Sales Accepted Opportunity) rate and associated metrics around disposition reasons and campaign effectiveness.
This role is heavily driven by data points and unbiased critical thought. Success in the role requires: a curious mind, ability to prioritize impact of process change, a passion for continual optimization, and the ability to build strong cross-team relationships to create mutually beneficial outcomes. The ideal candidate has Sales experience and a desire to become a strategic full-stack Marketer.
Responsibilities
Serve as the subject matter expert for Marketing Operations, partner with Sales Operations and Oracle Digital (Inside Sales) to provide hands-on consultation and support by:
· Ensuring that all marketing leads sent to Oracle by 3 rd party vendors are accounted for and correctly processed
· Ensuring leads from Marketing reach the correct Sales person in the shortest time possible time and Marketing programs are properly prioritized for lead follow-up
· Working with the global marketing operations and systems teams to improve lead delivery speed
· Providing support, training and education to Sales/BDCs on Marketing programs
· Ensure Marketing vendors are delivering fully formed leads that meet specific Oracle criteria
· Creating regular performance reports using raw data analysis to surface insights that will optimize lead flow, conversion rates and resource utilization, and hold 3 rd party vendors accountable
· Providing feedback from Sales to Marketing on program success, lead quality and retirement reasons, conversion, audience targeting and strength of calls to action
Preferred Qualifications
· 3-5 years in marketing or sales operations
· Direct experience working with or as an Inbound Sales Development Representative is strongly preferred
· Demonstrated proficiency with Excel. Advanced Excel skills is a major plus – pivot tables, Excel functions, charting, etc.
· Can comfortably and quickly learn new reporting and analytics tools to be used on a daily basis for performance reporting
· Basic understanding of key marketing to sales metrics and how to compile, calculate, and interpret marketing and sales reporting data
· 3-5 years working in consulting/advising role with proven proficiency in:
· Producing executive level reports and presentations
· Distilling lots of data down to key takeaways and recommendations
· Consultative approach to supporting and advising marketing and sales managers
· Comprehensive understanding of Modern Marketing technologies and methodologies including:
· Marketing Automation (preferably Eloqua)
· CRM systems (preferably Oracle CRM)
· Lead flow automation architecture concepts such as Lead Scoring, triggered campaigns, predictive scoring, propensity modeling
· Microsite & landing page design concepts and technologies
· Audience segmentation analysis and tools
· Buyer's Journey framework
· Marketing waterfall model and framework
· Online advertising and re-targeting + associated tools such as DMP (BlueKai)
· Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
· Proven success in current role
· Comfortable communicating and presenting ideas to groups and leadership
· Passionate and knowledgeable about trends in Modern Marketing and Sales Best Practices and ABM, Account Based Marketing
· Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision
· Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees and management
Travel Component: Potentially 10% - 20%, varies depending on LOB & defined market
Position Location: Prefer candidates based in Austin, Texas, Santa Monica, CA, Redwood City/San Francisco, CA, NYC or Oracle Hubs.
Role is based in North America and requires close coordination with virtual team.
