Job description

An experienced consulting professional who has an understanding of solutions, industry best practices, multiple business processes or technology designs within a product/technology family. Operates independently to provide quality work products to an engagement. Performs varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment, in order to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs. Applies Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices.

Applies Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices. Demonstrates expertise to deliver functional and technical solutions on moderately complex customer engagements. May act as the team lead on projects. Effectively consults with management of customer organizations. Participates in business development activities. Develops and configures detailed solutions for moderately complex projects.

5-7 years of experience relevant to this position including 2 years consulting experience preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed.

We are looking for a skilled and field-tested data Oracle Database Administrator willing to work with our existing on-premise customers and support them in the transition to Oracle Public and Private Cloud (Cloud @ Customer) solutions We offer you an interesting and awarding job in one of the leading IT companies in the world and exposure to the latest Oracle technologies and customer projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Oracle Database solutions both on-premise and in the Oracle Cloud which includes but not limited to:
o Work with the latest versions of the Oracle Database
o Monitor performance and manage parameters in order to provide fast database responses
o Implement data and security standards, including adherence to GDPR
o Develop, manage and test back-up and recovery plans
o Manage the security and disaster recovery aspects of a database.
• Implement Oracle Cloud at Customer solution including Exadata Cloud @ Customer and Oracle Cloud @ Customer

Technical Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience with Oracle Database as an DBA/Consultant/Support Engineer
• 3+ years of experience with Oracle database 11g,12c technologies: ASM, RMAN, RAC and Data Guard
• Strong Unix/Linux skills (Servers, Storage & Network) are essential, additional Windows skills are useful
• Hands-on experiences with:
o Mission Critical Datacenter Systems & Databases
o Operating Systems Virtualization
o Enterprise Manager Grid Control
• Experience of Oracle Replication (GoldenGate, ODI)
• Experience of managing DR environments (Standby, ADG)
• Experience of Oracle Exadata or other Oracle Engineered Systems products will be an advantage
• Some Programming / scripting experience (Python/ Unix Scripting) and be comfortable with using SQL
• Nice to have knowledge of infrastructure (Network, Storage, Servers)
• Willingness to learn new technologies
• Sharp technical troubleshooting skills
• Sound knowledge of Oracle Database Performance tuning
• Good knowledge of Oracle Database Security
• Bachelor/Master Degree or comparable education/professional experience is an advantage
• Oracle DBA related certification - Preferred
• Some travel may be required for training or customer visits
