Job description
Manages and negotiates strategic transactions for Oracle Corporation, including mergers and acquisitions, strategic licensing, minority investments and joint ventures.
Responsible for reviewing incoming opportunities for acquisition, investment, licensing or joint venture. Develop and coordinate acquisition/licensing strategy with development groups, including identifying and prioritizing technology needs.
Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role.

Qualifications :
Oracle is looking for an Associate to join our Corporate Development team in Redwood City. Oracle Corporate Development is a small team responsible for global Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) execution and integration, corporate strategy initiatives, and strategic licensing for the company. This individual in particular would be responsible for M&A Execution activities including the identification and evaluation of acquisition opportunities, and would be a key member of the team involved in the full M&A lifecycle from strategy development through due diligence and negotiations.
Responsibilities:
· Manage deal lifecycle from initial screening through due diligence and signing of transaction
· Building business case presentations to be presented to executives and Board of Directors
· Development of detailed financial model used to create business case
· Interface with key business unit deal leads to help develop strategy and operating model for the acquisition
Professional Experience Required
· Undergraduate degree with strong GPA
· 2-5 years total experience, including investment banking or venture capital. Previous Corporate Development experience a plus
· Familiarity with a wide range of business models within enterprise software, including cloud and subscription models
· Previous experience executing M&A transactions and deep knowledge of M&A process lifecycle
· Strong ability to model complex financial models
· Business savvy with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a wide range of business leaders across the company
· Deep experience in Excel and PowerPoint
