Job description

Provides programs to improve operational efficiency, consistency, and compliance in support of the organization's financial and tactical business objectives. Provides business practices and processes. Develops, communicates, and trains the organization on business practices and processes.

Serve as a liaison with other divisions such as Finance, Contracts, HR, Legal, Shared Services, Accounts Receivable, Purchasing, and Risk Management in an effort to ensure accurate and timely transaction processing. Collect, input, verify, correct, and analyze data to measure key performance indicator actual versus business objectives. Provide updates to management regarding budget to actual, informing them of deviations and opportunities. Provide management with economic impact and compliance issues surrounding key business decisions and/or deals. Communicate Oracle Business Practices to the organization and monitor process and approvals for full compliance. Drive implementation of new processes and procedures.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Ability to collect, organize, and display data in spreadsheet format. Follow-through skills necessary to get information from internal and third parties and have data errors/omissions corrected. For this, relationship management skills strongly desired. Strong written and verbal communication skills. 8 plus years relevant work experience.

Oracle NAA is seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst in our Analytics Center of Excellence. The Analyst will work cross-functionally (Sales, Finance, Business Development, and Consulting) to enable NAA Sales teams to take impactful, analytically driven actions in a fast-paced environment. The Analyst will require exceptional analytical skills, strong stakeholder engagement skills and bias towards action.

Candidates should have a proven track record combining business acumen, analytical mindset, and technical skills to utilize complex data, and develop analyses and dashboards for diverse audiences. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Oracle Applications, interested in sales and business development, intellectually curious, learn quickly, and be able to stay focused on high-impact projects.

Responsibilities

Interface with the Chiefs of Staff and Business Operations Managers of one or more lines of business within NAA including ERP, HR, Sales Automation, Service Automation, Marketing Cloud, and Oracle Digital to develop a deep understanding of the business and define KPIs/operational metrics for sales pipeline growth and hygiene, bookings, renewals and competition

Develop actionable analyses, reports and dashboards on sales pipeline, customer segmentation, sales rep recruiting, bookings, and install base effectiveness using SQL and Excel

Collaborate with internal tools & applications development team to automate and scale reports & analyses generation

Identify and prioritize required process enhancements, and project manage them to drive greater efficiencies in the Analytics CoE

Continuously share new analytical techniques and successful process frameworks within the CoE, and contribute to knowledge organization

Minimum Qualifications

BA/BS in a critical thinking or quantitative field such as Business, Economics, Engineering, and Math

4+ years of experience in Analytics, Sales Operations, and/or process consulting, or

3+ years' experience with MBA/Master's degree

Demonstrated problem solving experience with experience providing business insights and recommendations from large sets of data

Demonstrated experience presenting technical content to audiences

Advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and drive initiatives in a cross-functional environment

Experience with Sales, Sales Operations, Finance or Business Development organization

Knowledge of Oracle's BI technologies including Oracle APEX, OBIEE and/or Data Visualizer
