Translation Project Assistant (Temp to Perm) - Opp - Oxford

OPP and its partners help organisations unlock potential in individuals and teams with training, resources and consultancy to support effective and innovative talent identification and people development.

We are seeking a talented and professionally-oriented person who has a background in translation to join our friendly and successful Product Management Team. Reporting to the Product Management Team Lead and under the supervision of the Product & Translation Project Manager, the post holder will coordinate agreed and prioritised projects (as specified by the business), and ensure that they are delivered on time and to agreed budget. Projects will include marketing communications translation projects coordination, creation of multilingual product glossaries and Term Bases, updating and maintaining Translation Memories as well as acting as a translator when required.

The role will involve coordinating several small on-going projects simultaneously across the company. The post is based in the Oxford office and projects assigned may require work with virtual teams of European colleagues and clients.

This temporary vacancy is for an initial term of 16 weeks, with the potential for the role to be made permanent at the end of this period. Hours of work are 37.5 hours per week.

To be successful you will have:

Experience in translation

Experience in the management of the translation process

Experience in the use of computer aided translation tools
