YOUR JOB
- As head of the new technical center “Oil Field Chemicals” in the USA, you will manage the lab operations, its budgets and investments. The center will provide technical assistance to Oleon’s local sales force.
- After having followed training in Oleon’s research labs in Europe, you will establish the new technical center, supervise the recruitment of personnel and purchase the equipment needed to make the lab operational.
- You will manage a team of several lab technicians, carrying out the lab work required to give conclusive answers to the technical questions of the customers.
- You will regularly visit the customers in order to understand their technical requirements and to present the solutions developed by your team.
- You will overview various experimental work programs, generate product recommendations for the business and manage quality or performance problems.
- You will keep your knowledge up-to-date by studying scientific and technical literature in the field of oil field chemicals and oleochemicals and by following appropriate technical training programs and conferences.
- You will report to the corporate R&D Manager Oil Field Chemicals, Lubricants and Industrial Products.
YOUR PROFILE
- You have a master’s degree or PhD in chemistry or engineering, with a good knowledge of physico-chemistry.
- A first professional experience in oil field chemicals, lubricants or industrial surfactants is an asset.
- You are willing to work and live in the USA and know how to cope with cultural differences.
- As an entrepreneur, you have an open and analytical mind and you work with precision.
- As a team player, you have good interpersonal skills. People management experience is an advantage.
- You have a profound knowledge of English. Knowledge of French and/or Dutch is an additional asset.
