WHY OCTOPUS COMMUNICATIONS?
The Octopus Group (www.weareoctopusgroup.net) is a collaboration of award winning PR and marketing agencies with common ownership and shared values. We combine a real sleeves-up attitude to work with an obsession with the future. We are comprised of four distinct brands; Octopus Communications (professional services and IT), Rocket Communications (specialist technology agency), Union Street (consumer) and Loudhouse (research and influencer marketing). We integrate research, PR and marketing to make a difference.

WHAT WILL THE DAY BE LIKE?
One you won’t forget easily! Just kidding, there will be a variety of sessions including learning more about us, our business and the way we work. We will of course have a couple of tasks for you along the way, if you can talk the talk can you now walk the walk? It will be an informal day with lots of opportunities to showcase who you are, what you are looking for and why we should hire you!

HOW LONG IS A PLACEMENT?
Our internships typically last for the duration of 3 months but there is always flexibility.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY?
We welcome applications from candidates across a range of academic backgrounds and different levels of experience. As long as you have a keen interest in PR, marketing and communications and an eagerness to learn about the industry then we want to hear from you!

Apply with a copy of your CV. You will be sent an application form and receive notification at least 14 days before the assessment day if your application has been successful and are invited to our Open day on 11th February 2014.

HOW MUCH WILL I BE PAID?
For an internship placement you will be paid £250.00 per week. For a Junior Account Executive position we offer a competitive salary and benefits package.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We have a number of internships and permanent Junior Account Executive positions available across our technology and professional services practises. We want people that stand out from the crowd; ideas-driven, able to challenge the norms and inspired by the changing world around them. To be successful you will have solid writing capabilities, an eagerness to learn, excellent organisational abilities, an interest in digital and savvy with social media coupled with a strong work ethic.
