GLOBAL SUPPORT ENGINEER :
The Global Support engineer's mission is to provide project management and expert technical and engineering support on strategic operations plans.
He/she will assist with analysis, research, design, development and implementation of process and equipment changes in order to improve production throughput, reduce process failure rates and maintain or enhance service levels.
Key responsibilities are to :
- Investigate and evaluate new equipment and significant process changes.
- Assist with capital expenditure projects. Through analysis help identify, select and assist in the procurement of new equipment to improve production efficiency, effectiveness and reduce operating costs. Provide support in writing justification documents. Help plan the acceptance and introduction of new Equipment, assist with associated staff training.
- Introduce Manufacturing Excellence and the fostering of the disciplines associated with Continuous Improvement. Implement Process Improvement so that product quality conforms to specification with reliability.
- Interface with Corporate R&D, and help develop technical partnerships with site experts and other technical organizations.
- Perform technical troubleshooting of new products and processes. Provide support to improve existing products and processes. Provide support in terms of analytical equipment maintenance, methods development, material analysis and documentation of new process or products.
Profile:
2 years experience required beyond degree in Engineering :
Experience in engineering project management,
Strong knowledge of engineering disciplines, systems and processes,
Design engineering experience.
Change management experience preferred.
Experience with end to end card manufacturing and personalisation equipment preferred.
Degree in Mechanical / Production Engineering : minimum Master 1 (bac + 4) or Bachelor
Aptitude for diagnosing and solving problems.
Ability to work remotely.
Good communicator and influencer.
Supervisory experience preferred.
Open to extensive travelling across Asia (>50%).
