Description of job:
A practicing quality professional with good knowledge and experience in the delivery of projects in a highly regulated industry. Working as part of multiple project delivery teams supporting the Quality Manager within the business to ensure that business level quality requirements and improvements are identified and delivered effectively and to process, plus supporting to ensure projects and contracts within the organisation are managed within the bounds of the agreed procedures, and that project quality requirements are maintained.
Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance Lead shall be responsible for all QA and QC matters on projects, supporting the requirements of the Project Quality Team and the Business Line Quality and Improvement Team as needed. Delivering tasks and giving expert advice where needed to ensure that quality requirements across the business are delivered successfully.
Project Quality Assurance:
- Input into project specifications
- Quality Documentation – Authorship
- Manage Project Deliverables
- Project LFE collation
- Project LTR collation
- Ongoing Sub-contractor Quality documentation review
- Liaison with Sub-contractors
- Liaison with Client
- Internal Audits
- Client Audits
- KPI monitoring
- Project Quality Grading
- Internal Audit support
Project Continuous Improvement:
- Cost of non-conformance
- Continuous Process improvement Development & Implementation
- Change Management Support
Desired profile
Qualifications, experience and skills:
- Relevant work experience in Quality related Roles (3+ years)
- Working towards CQP CQI Chartership or equivalent membership of an appropriate professional body
- Candidate has demonstrable experience in aspects of Quality & continuous improvement including:
- Lean / Six Sigma
- Value Stream Mapping
- LFE, Stakeholder Feedback and Governance/ Internal Audit
- QMS/IMS development / Management
- Authoring of Quality Management Plans and related documentation
- Knowledge and experience of process improvement and problem solving methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis, 8D)
- Identify, report and advise on risks and opportunities associated with meeting Client regulatory and legal requirements and stakeholder expectations within a project
- Identify project stakeholders, build relationships to understand their requirements and expectations and advise on the application of governance, assurance and improvements
- Support and co-ordinate inspectors and project quality advisors to deliver the quality aspects of project requirements.
- Flexibility to travel to other UK offices and sites on occasion as necessary
- PC literate in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel
- Articulate with good written communication
