We regulate nurses and midwives in the UK. We exist to safeguard the health and wellbeing of the public by setting standards for education, maintaining a register of nurses and midwives and investigating individuals whose fitness to practise is called into question.

About the role
The role of Panel Allocations and Payments Officer is to arrange and coordinate the timely and efficient empanelment of Fitness to Practise events in accordance with NMC standards and legislation while ensure that all relevant parties are kept informed of any changes to arrangements. Further, an Officer is also responsible for the timely verification of invoices submitted by Panel Members and Legal Assessors. Panel Allocation and Payments Officers also support the Panel Allocation and Payments Manager in the collection of financial data for the purposes of reviewing efficiency of the empanelment process.

About you
The successful applicant will be responsible for the timely and efficient coordination of Panel Members, Legal Assessors and Shorthand Writers to our Fitness to Practise hearings. You will need to be a superb planner/organiser and have experience of managing your own caseload dealing sensitively with various external and internal stakeholders.

You will also need to have the ability to quickly solve problems while applying relevant legislation and work to tight deadlines whilst balancing competing priorities. Experience in an accounts payable environment and / or working with the eBis Open accounts system will be an advantage.
