• Ensure planning, coordination and logistics of the training plan process and tracking of all applicable new hires, departures and role changes.
• Identify any new training needs through consultation with the hiring Manager and/or Training Manager to develop and provide a comprehensive training plan for new hire.
• Responsible for maintenance of the Training Plan catalogue (+ adaptation of the generic training plan based on each functional Manager’s needs)
• Request assignment of the proper role-specific training curriculum within the Novartis training systems
• Responsible to assign the e-training courses through the Novartis training platform (ilearn, Up4Growth or other)
• Responsible to track compliance of GxP associates in completing the training requirements
• Work cross-functionally with Human Resources & Quality Assurance to optimize the use of resources, tools, material and coordination of training activities for the benefit of the associ-ates.
• Assist with staff orientation and learning system training (i.e. onboarding) for new associates, with overview of Novartis training systems
• Coordinate the production/update of Role Profile/Job Description with concerned line func-tion manager and maintain version controls.
• Responsible to administer role profile/job description sign-off by each on-boarded associate (new associate or change in role) in a given department, and monitor compliance in providing the completed document to HR for filing.
• Responsible to maintain a training-specific Tracking log and individual Training files for relevant GxP associates.
• Implement quality assurance checks of mandatory documentation to ensure readiness of training files for audit and proceed with appropriate follow-up for compliance, as per Novartis SOP/regulation.
• Support teams with Audit/Inspections preparation activities
• COMPULSORY: Associate shall be accountable to perform all duties listed in Role Profile in accordance with applicable GxP principles, and internal/external regulations (e.g. Novartis Code of Conduct, Novartis Pharma Principles and Practices for Professionals (NP4), Rx&D Code of Ethical Practices, Health Canada and all other relevant regulations).
Desired profile
Minimum requirements
• B.Sc. Degree (preferred) or equivalent relevant experience
• 3+ years of pharma experience. Previous training experience is an asset.
• Previous experience in a compliance and/or quality assurance role is also an asset.
• Good knowledge & understanding of Novartis and ICH-GCP, local Canadian regulations & business codes (eg. Rx&D code)
• Previous experience in training administration preferred
• Strong communication (verbal, written) skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively & influence cross-functionally
• Strong organizational and computer skills
• Bilingualism – Oral and Written: English and French (Quebec only).
