The Team Leader leads the CPP local group and support NIBR projects from exploratory, lead optimization to sPoC via developability assessment of the molecules in order to expedite new chemical entities into preclinical PK, PD (target validation) and tox studies via formulation. Recommends physical form and clinical formulation principle based on biopharmaceutical properties of a molecule to ARD (S& P) and PHAD early team respectively. Builds a strong collaboration between NIBR and development in selecting an NCE for development.

Responsibilities:
1. Actively participate in teams, projects, networks and/or platforms. Fulfill all related tasks and responsibilities related to CPP, e.g. Developability assessment of the molecules coming from NIBR.
2. Proactively communicate key issues and any other critical topics in a timely manner to the appropriate management level and/or to any other relevant project team member(s) to push back on non developable molecules.
3. Design, plan, perform and monitor all assigned activities with minimum amount of material.
4. Ensure quality, quantity, and timelines in all assigned projects, networks and/or platforms.
5. Provide support and assign associates to specific projects and/or networks. Coach on target dates and priorities.
6. Proactively contribute to budget forecast, grant preparation and tracking of invoices. Ensure cost awareness in all assigned projects, networks and/or platforms.
7. Interpret results, evaluate data, draw relevant conclusions, and write reports. 8. Optimize scientific/technical-related activities in assigned projects, networks and/or platforms. Create and implement optimized processes and procedures for activities within their area of responsibilities.
9. Lead risk analyses and/or peer review and process challenge meetings.
10. Generate and select most appropriate scientific documents (developability assessment) to hand over to internal partners (PHAD oral, ParTop, Inhalation, ARD-S and P).
11. Interact/collaborate with NIBR; major customer due to co-location with NIBR and/or other functions in Development to facilitate transfer of knowledge and deliveries of developability assessment of molecules.
12. Proactively contribute to setting, updating, and monitoring of team goals. Translate team goals into daily work. Act as a role model and energize the team.
13. Support and facilitate the journey towards a multi-skilled, highly innovative and motivated workforce operating in a self-directed team set-up. 14. Play active role in setting and achieving CPP goals.
15. Support Novel Delivery Technology team to enable NIBR projects via delivery platforms
16. Act as deputy of CPP Head

Minimum requirements

Education:
Ph.D. or equivalent.

Language:
English

Experience/Skills:
• Successfully demonstrated several years (mini-mum of 2-3 years) of directly related experience as a fellow or equivalent.
• Recognized expertise in a specific area and broader scientific as well as strategic background.
• Proven track record of creativity, problem solving and productivity in projects.
• Good overview of current trends and upcoming techniques for current and future applications.
• Thorough understanding of development processes in TRD.
• Demonstrated successful experience with working in interdisciplinary and cross-cultural teams.
• Excellent leadership skills.
• Excellent communication/presentation skills and scientific/technical writing skills.
• Advanced coaching and mentoring skills.
• May require up to 10-15% travel.
