Novartis is currently recruiting for a Tactical Buyer – German to be a part of a newly established team within our Procurement domain.
Job Purpose:
The purpose of the Tactical Buyer – German is to execute the tactical buying process in support of assigned countries/categories according to the globally defined tactical buying process. Assure the delivery of services according to defined KPIs and Service Levels.
Key Responsibilities:
• Tactical Sourcing Request Support.
• Review/Validate Sourcing Requests in accordance with defined rules.
• Escalate requests to category teams where defined thresholds are met.
• Identify sources of supply from preferred supplier lists in accordance with category cards.
• In case there are no preferred suppliers, search for the right suppliers to perform tactical buying.
• Direct users to existing content streams for current and future ordering needs.
• Coordinate & monitor RFx processes (where required).
• Prepare and provide summary of RFx outcome and recommendation to award.
• Document and communicate final award decision
• Support users with documentation required to submit purchase requests

Desired profile
Minimum requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
• Minimum Bachelor degree.
• Fluent German and fluent English
• 2-7 years of experience working in a global environment in a similar position
• Experience of working in Procurement or equivalent operations
• Experience in supporting customers directly
• Experience in SAP SRM and other enterprise applications
• Excellent demonstrated communication skills
