The P&R Manager supports and implements local P&R strategic priorities derived from Novartis European and national strategies in close collaboration with Head P&R / HE&OR. This proactive pricing strategy should take into account a comprehensive view of Novartis products portfolio (combining primary care, specialized drugs, services, vaccines, generics, consumer healthcare) and will facilitate fast and broad patient access to Novartis products.
• Responsible for the development of Pricing & Reimbursement strategies and their accurate implementation: Accountable for achieving best launch and in-market prices according to the market situation, aligned with Country Pharma Organization Leadership Team decisions and global strategies; shape Reference Price decisions and integrate and optimize pricing input from reference countries to the Swiss market; provide accurate qualitative and quantitative input into Budget and Strategic Planning.
• Contribute with an understanding of the impact on business strategy caused by competitors' actions.
• Responsible for the development of tools and processes to evaluate return on investment of Market Access activities: Anticipate the financial impact of current and new legislation; create simulations on the health expenditure progress to quantify the risk and opportunities for Novartis (e.g. forced price reductions, pre-scriptions limitations); manage and update local and global databases relevant to P&R. Interact with key stakeholders like health insurers and reimbursement authority to develop and implement innovative pricing systems.
• Interact with internal key stakeholders like Market Access, Finance, Medical and Marketing to develop and implement innovative pricing systems.
• Interact with external key stakeholders like Federal Office of Public Health and Insurance Companies.
Desired profile
• University degree in natural sciences such as pharmacology, molecular biology medicine, economics or law (Master level)
•Fluent in German and English, strong in French
• Minimum 2 years experience in at least one stakeholder sector within the pharmaceutical reimbursement
• Experience with reimbursement dossier compilation
• Proven ability to understand and clearly communicate scientific and economic topics
• Financial experience, good commercial understanding
