Join the Novartis Pharma Global Development Staffing team for an internship in an international working environment, supporting how we attract and hire the best scientific and medical talents from around the world.

This internship is specifically for either a recent graduate (starting in the first year after University graduation), in the final year of a Bachelor degree, or during a Master degree looking for practical experience.

• Support the Pharma Development Basel Staffing Team in sourcing, selection and hiring of candidates - particularly talent attraction and engagement with job advert writing and placement on job boards and via social media; building talent pipelines for our critical roles; leveraging our employee referral program; managing the candidate applicant tracking database (BrassRing) to proactively find candidates and manage existing applicants; occasional participation in career fair/congresses;
• Liaise with our HR key partners: Reward Solutions Center, HR Policies & Standards, Global Mobility, Crown Relocations, HR Shared Services for advice and guidance
• Collaborate with the broader HR Business Partner community to ensure alignment of our talent acquisition activities/projects with the business. Examples of projects include Employment Branding, Talent Ambassador Program, Talent Pipelining, Talent Mapping etc
• Staffing administration activities, ensuring compliance with Novartis standards (i.e. pre-employment background checks, BrassRing compliance, offer proposals, Swiss Legal SECO compliance for employment agencies, US Legal Physician Sunshine Act etc)
• Data management & analysis for reports in BrassRing, Excel, SharePoint, and presentations in PowerPoint
• Contribute ideas on process improvements and new opportunities, and implement change successfully

Desired profile

• Bachelor or Master University degree in Human Resources, Psychology or other Social Science that included education of Human Resources: completed within the last 12 months, during final year of study or currently studying a Master degree
• Previous work experience in a fast moving, flexible environment strongly preferred; ideally within Human Resources or Staffing
• Proven ability to work successfully in a team
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong planning & organizational skills including the ability to prioritize and adapt, deliver within agreed timelines, keeping stakeholders informed, paying attention to details
• Customer focused
• Analytical and solution oriented mindset
• Demonstrated the ability to deal with confidential and personal data in a sensitive manner
• Advanced IT literacy, quickly learning new technology
• Language Skills: Advanced or fluent English written and oral. German is mandatory
