We're looking for a passionate, energetic Mobile Solution Architect to work in our new Mobile Solutions Team

•Our Mobile Solutions ‘Startup' team is 80 members strong and has a presence in key strategic locations globally
•The Mobile Solutions team work across a broad range of solutions - everything from apps for internal business productivity to apps for medical professionals and patients. With endless future opportunities within the mhealth industry we are well positioned to build products that improve lives. Novartis has an objective to go beyond the pill, using Digital Medicine to improve patient outcomes
•We work across a range of mobile technology from Native iOS and Android to Hybrid app development. Innovation is at the core of what we do and we are constantly looking to progress our offering
•Be detailed and quality focused - our app KPI's are often linked to patient wellbeing and your performance should reflect that
•Advise customer (brand managers, medical device experts) on available mobile technical solutions (native, android and everything in between) and provide consultancy to help shape their mobile requirements
•Transform business requirements into technical requirements that are fit for purpose
•Ensure solutions are delivered to meet and exceed customer expectations
•Representing the customer during delivery / costing estimations (from T-shirts to full statement of work)
•Ensure solutions, associated architecture and build are managed in accordance with Novartis Information Governance and technology standards
•Contributing to and helping manage the program level technical templates (Estimates/T-Shirt size template/Developer Playbook/Architecture docs/Design docs)
•Working with our development teams and champion, quality, speed, efficiency and reusability
•Secure technology alignment for the solution, liaising between the various Enterprise Architectures, Product Managers, Business Analysts, Project Managers and delivery teams
•Follow industry trends and contribute to our overall product roadmap and help shape the mobile technical strategy
•Regularly work with UX/UI Designers, Developers and Business Analysts
•Presenting technology capabilities/recommendations to respective Novartis Technology boards.
•Fostering relationships and driving technology & architecture discussions with various stakeholders across geographies
•Work across other centers of excellence in Digital, Analytics and CRM to provide a complete solution to customers

•Strong knowledge and understanding of customer expectations and lingo and ability to turn them around into state of the art, technical solutions
•Establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence and ability to communicate needs and requirement definitions to business partners
•Solid ability to multitask and support multiple small to large projects in a cross-functional environment going in parallel
•Ability to blend creative, problem-solving, and technical skills for refining existing theories or developing new system approaches to seize opportunities and sustain business success
•Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as ability to present and explain technical information in business lingo
•Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills at all management levels

Desired profile

•Proven experience translating business needs into technical requirements
•Strong knowledge of mobile app development (4 years plus) across native and hybrid environments
•Strong architecture and design skills with hands-on development skills
•Excellent customer facing skills – you should be able to lead a workshop
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and are comfortable in a knowledge sharing environment
•Experience working in the Health or Pharma industry
•Experience in developing enterprise applications
•Knowledge of the compliance and risk requirements of business mobile apps in the health market
•Experience in handling deliverables in an outsourced environment
•Experience in onsite – offshore model
•Ability to work within large cross functional teams in a multi-geography & multi-cultural environment organization
•Proven capacity to respond to changes which impact the program, deal with uncertainty and proactively resolve issues to deliver the best possible outcome
•University degree in technical area adequate equivalent
•Languages: Fluent English written and spoken
